Damniel claim was due to a reaction regarding almost being voted off, so if no one can CC then he is coming from a place of honesty in dire times. Otherwise, if someone does CC, it was a desperate attempt to stay alive.

This is a very good point about how the clue could've been fit to actually help mafia while still being true; I may have missed it somewhere in here if it was mentioned before but I legit never thought about Colton counting as having pointy ears, so it'd be a valid strategy
