Island Tours

Unfortunately, none of the reviews so far have mentioned Island Tours. It would be a weird thing not to unlock the Island within 3 weeks of ACNH. Do you think it's possible they removed this feature? Playing these games on the island with friends was one of my favorite things about NL.

The island tours are now where you pay tickets to go to a random island where there are non native fruits, I believe insects/fish, flowers, and villagers wandering around.

There have been no mentions of mini games returning

With all their focus on multiplayer I’d find it extremely odd if they didn’t include mini games. Like seriously, playing with other people is one if the first things they showed off! Are we really just supposed to collect materials together? I’m sorry, but that doesn’t sound the most fun to me...

Agreed, that’s what Tortimer’s Island was for, mini games and medal collecting (I’ll be sad if they don’t return if I’m being truly honest here)

like irish said, i feel like dodo’s mystery tours might be replacing club tortimer and its minigames which is kind of disappointing - i never played the minigames very often but they were fun and it’d suck if they didn’t come back

the reviews said that online play wasnt avaiable for them so i hope we have something like that for online multiplayer

but that was the only way someone as grown up as me could play hide and seek *sobs*
I really enjoyed going to the online island and playing all the different fun games. I met lots of nice people there, too.

This is the one thing I'm honestly pretty disappointed about. I just hope there's an equivalent we can do besides just gathering.

Except most people already have more than enough silver tokens and bought up everything in the island shop twice. The appeal was to play to unlock items, that's what made it a fun addition. I don't think many people will continue to play New Leaf for the same 6 mini games.
