My best bet is that if you surprise this person with whatever you have in mind, I'm certain it'll elevate his overall mood. Heck, when I was in a dark place myself, receiving a gift from my best buddy really helped me out-- their caring really helped ^_^

Tbh valentines is just another day to me. It has no significance to me whatsoever; sometimes I even disacknowledge all those huge signs in Wal-Mart that say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY and the aisles full of candy n stuff. Like who cares honestly

As a single dude, I can't think of doing anything else than chomping down some Valentine candies. But, we already have Christmas and Easter for that, so this holiday feels kinda redundant. If I had a girlfriend, then perhaps I would've certainly perceived it differently, but why have it at the worst possible moment in a year? Either late spring or early summer would've made much sense, since people would usually seem much happier.
