Haii!

The title is pretty much self explanatory but hey...

I just got a copy of this game about 3 hours ago, just wondering what your thoughts on gameplay and if you have had any problems. Also anyone who got the NFC reader instead of a new 3ds please post your experiences?

It's a pretty personal thing. I really enjoy the game, but I knew it didn't have a storyline or a full-on village to wander around in. Some have been disappointed at the lack of these things. Interactions with villagers are fairly limited, dialogue-wise. I love the new furniture items and how easy it is to move stuff around.

It might be worth checking out the "things you hate" thread for a sense of what folks don't like about the game.

Like Voluptua said above, its a personal opinion. If you love designing things, this is the perfect game for you. Since there's no actual village you live in, its a designing game and so far for me its so fun. I love it and it kills time. In other words, if you love designing, you'll love this game :3

I bought it when it came out even though I was less than thrilled with the one dimensional focus. And I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. I find it more engrossing than I thought it would be. I love being in contact with so many of the characters I never got to see in New Leaf, and I love find out what new furniture comes along with each request. In New Leaf I had a tendency to put all the furniture along the walls. In this game I am actually learning to be more creative with my placement.

not a game that will make you stick to it for hours. but interesting enough to make you spend atleast 15minutes or at most 20minutes on each villager's house. if you love designing, this is the game for you.

Anyone got the game with the NFC reader? What is that like?

My advice for the game is just not to finish all the Main Street buildings in a hurry. I'd just do one every three or four villagers.

The NFC reader requires batteries, that I think comes with it. Eventually when you see 3 amiibo cards on the bottom of you screen, click that and then point the ready at you 3ds. Make sure the light is pointing on it. Place an amiibo card on the 3ds and then the villager should be in the game.

NFC reader is a nice thing to have, if you can afford it. Not integral, but adds some flexibility to the game, like assigning various villagers to jobs in various facilities :)

It started off slow for me and I really thought it wouldn't hold my attention like New Leaf did, (I doubt it still will but...) when all the different options and items started opening up, and the ability to make and use so many patterns I was hooked!

I've noticed that the more items I unlock the more time I take on the houses. If its a style I am enjoying , it might take me 35 minutes or more to get everything just the way I want.

It took me a few sessions over 2 days to design my Office building. Does anyone else find designing hard sometimes? Aha.

Same. But that's a good thing, I think.

It has never taken me that long to design anything, but the department store (has 4 rooms) took me literally hours to do. I was probably working on it for, no exaggeration, about 3 hours. O_O

I had high hopes for the game and I finally got it yesterday. I can now say, after playing with it, that it's a fun game. I recommend you unlock all the lessons with the play coins, makes the game so much better! I confess that I thought I was going to enjoy it more, but I think I played too much in such a little time...

Thanks you guys for your opinions. I have just played through the first ever day and well it was okay, I hope I get into it more as it would be a shame for me to ever not enjoy a animal crossing game.

It took me a few game days to start enjoying it, so I understand your feelings. It gets more fun when you have unlocked more things!
