K.K. Slider is now at Build A Bear

That’s honestly surprising. I thought K.K. Slider would be more popular, or just as popular. Tom Nook or Isabelle may just be more iconic within the Animal Crossing franchise. You could look at Tom Nook and recognize him right away, but I don’t know if K.K. is too recognizable.
If you have the money, Etsy has better custom plushes. I actually ordered one of Bones, but I’m still waiting for it. I think those are more high quality than the actual toys from Nintendo.
I feel like the promotional pictures never really show how the plushes actually are, so I'll probably wait till people get their K.K. plush shipped to judge them fully. By this picture alone, he does look a little funky. His face is shaped nicely though.
I wont be buying this or any of the other animal crossing plushies because I don’t want to support Nintendo and it’s business plan any more than I need to.

I love plushies but this will be a pass for me. He looks a bit too generic for my tastes and nothing truly stands out (except for the fact it looks like it's been a minute since our guitar-playing good boi has used his legs LOL) but it gives me hope that there will be more releases of NPCs in the future, perhaps Tortimer and Pascal! 
villager plushies would be pretty great, too~ I can already expect the most well-known villagers such as Goldie, Lolly, Rosie, Marshal. My personal favorites are Annalisa and Jeremiah (anteaters and frogs are deserving of more love, too!)

I don't think K.K. Slider has done quite as well as they had hoped - he's still in stock, compared to Isabelle and Tom Nook selling out on the same day.
It surprises me that they still went with him, knowing that most of the players for this game prefer characters like Celeste. I'm hoping that K.K. was planned at the exact same time as Isabelle and Tom Nook (which he likely was), and now they're perhaps taking note of feedback like they did with their Pokémon range. There's a lot of people requesting villagers (esp. Stitches), Celeste and Blathers.

Yeah Isabelle and Tom Nook initially sold out 2-3 times during their first few releases at Build-a-Bear, but K.K. is still not even sold out after a few days... From what I've read, it seems like the most highly requested NPC's are probably Celeste and Blathers (I personally think that would be awesome, but also would like them to make at least one villager before releasing another NPC)
For sure, Etsy definitely has some super talented plush makers on there!! That's so cool, congrats on ordering a plushie of Bones!
I ordered a KK with KK Disco and am excited. I was hoping they’d release him next and glad they did! I remember seeing the Nook and Isabelle ones online and thinking they looked…off. But then people got them and they looked great! I’m hoping that’s the case for KK too.

I don't think they have build a bear shops where I live, but I think I still wouldn't buy one. I'm glad they made another character, but he looks a little odd and wobbly ^^'
I also really agree with this ⬇. I am not happy with how Nintendo has handled things recently. So I avoid buying Nintendo related things these days and would rather support artists on Etsy etc.

Just saying, if you truly want to go with not supporting Nintendo, you're going to have to get rid of every single Nintendo product you own since if you don't, that is technically supporting them.
Anyway, I have no interest in any of the build-a-bear plushies since I'm not a fan of them, I think the homemade ones are somehow miles better and of course you can (usually) get a character that hasn't been available as a plush officially yet

. he’s adorable but i sadly won’t be getting him. there’s just other stuff that i’d much rather spend my money on, but if i do buy any plushies, they’ll likely be from etsy since i want to support the artists on there.

Update: I received my KK and omg it’s adorable and I love it. He does in fact look much better than in the pic and him having KK Disco is awesome because it’s like he’s singing. If you were on the fence about this lil guy then I’d recommend purchasing.
