thanks awuiwa for like resparking my interest in keyboards LMAO

so yeah title says it all! are you into the keyboard scene or not? do you mod your keyboards? are you into different switches, or keycaps, or into particular keyboard sounds? c:

i personally wasnt into the keyboard scene until the pandemic, my close friend was into keyboards and gaming at the time and pulled me into buying my first keeb LOL it's a royal kludge with brown switches! i modded it a little bit and used pudding and resin keycaps which really highlights the backlight ^^ then last night i was yet again pulled into modding it with tape to make it sound more thocky, would love a more creamy sound but i've yet to invest in the materials for it hehehe.

i'm super uber intimidated by them but i do find them really interesting!!
i got myself the anne pro 65% keyboard when i first made my pc then gifted myself a new one for christmas.....

this one!! because it would match my switch and i wanted to slowly start matching the rest of my setup to it hehe

i also got super into keyboards during the pandemic LOL i've only been brave enough to lube my switches so far OTL the thought of taking apart my actual keyboard scares me too much for foam or anything like that

excuse my huge keychains!! this is the only picture of my keyboard i have on hand 😭 my whole set up is black and white i fear…

I wouldn't mind a "nice" keyboard. I use a second hand black keyboard. Pretty boring looking. Lol. I don't know much about keyboards. The one I have could be a nice one and I wouldn't know.

i purchased a womier k87 back in 2020 i think? i’m not brave enough to open it up completely and mod it, but i bought rainbow pom jelly keycaps to put on the keyboard and i was super happy with how it turned out. the only problem is the key caps don’t have any letters/characters on them, so if i’m typing out something long i sometimes use the standard black keyboard that came with my computer 😅 the price of liking cute things i guess

I was waiting for someone to make this thread 🥺😭 I have a semi-mild interest in mechanical keyboards and have 2!

A GMMK 1 TKL

and a Yunzii Yz75 both in white.

I tape modded and bandaid modded both and recently re-lubed my stabilizers on my yz75 because it's my main keeb.

I got Boba U4T switches for my gmmk because i was chasing the thock, but since i suck at typing i can't actually use them for too long since my fingers start to hurt. they sound and feel amazing though and it's definitely a me problem 😞

My yz75 came with gateron yellows and I'm a fan. I might look into silent linear switches since I'm pretty sure my boss can hear my keeb over our video calls... lol

for keycaps, I've purchased one set outside of the default that my keeb came with. I think it's the Drop MiTo Pegaso? I have a space theme for my desk currently but once I figure some more stuff out about what colors I want to use, I might get different keycaps.

Nothing satisfies me and puts me at ease like the sound of clickity-clackity keyboards. That's why I have this habit of fidgeting with the keys...it's kinda hard to describe, but I deliberately scrape (or is there a better word than that?) them with my fingernails so they could make the sound. (I make sure they don't come off, though) 😌⌨️

Anyway, I have this external one that I bought from Amazon to replace the keyboard on my older laptop that broke because I clumsily spilled too many liquids on it. Without that keyboard, I can't use it.

hi i'm back again LOL
i just discovered the opal base 65 silent glacier and oh my goodness - i want to Eat them but more importantly they're as silent as ever which would be perfect for my late night degen hours because my mom has complained about how loud my keyboard can get ;n;

Yo we talking KEYBOARDS?!
This hobby took a vicious hold on my wallet throughout the pandemic, it was actually dangerous lol I fell deep into the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole, branched into artisan keycaps for a bit (which is fitting since a lot of them are AC related)

My first main board is the Mr. Suit, built with Boba U4T L + F. I kept the PE foam in as it's my preferred sound, and these were the artisan keycaps I had on then back in 2022. I slowly fell out of that specific niche since it's such an expense, my most recent purchases were commissions (Judy, Morpeko, Dog, etc).

The second board I use basically for gaming (is what I tell myself but truly coping on the fact that I just wanted more keyboards lol) is the Space65, built with Autumn Rain linears. This is how it looked back in October of last year!

They're both currently on different keycap sets and artisans, I just don't have any good pictures of them.

I'm not into keyboards. However I have a wireless 100 key mechanical keyboard from royal kludge I got for work. I have the lights set to green to match my Simpsons lava lamp. It has white switches in it. It's my first mechanical keyboard.

I am somewhat into keyboards! I have a GMMK 2 Compact 65% in pink! It has Glorious Fox Switches, which I have no idea what these mean but.. my friend suggested I buy from this brand! I really love it. I loved the way it sounded when I first got it.. but since I have a really bad habit of typing super hard.. I need to relube my keys ^^;; I also want to invest in ANOTHER keyboard, but I'm not sure which kind to get.
