Would you like to see larger houses in the Switch version? Such as having backyards you can decorate like in Happy Home Designer or perhaps more rooms inside the house?

I never played happy home design, but i loved seeing how people decorated the outside. I really would like to be able to do that which means we need a bigger map

I don't know if we need more rooms or larger floors specifically in houses. I certainly wouldn't mind, but if you can add everything you want, there's no choice involved. Adding a third floor (excluding the attic for beds) or small side rooms to the second floor would make sense, but possibly a bit much.

Being able to add stuff to a pre-determined space outside your house like a yard, however, is definitely something I would see as being the next step.

I like the house sizes at the moment, but unique compositions would be nice (eg. 5x3, 6x9 etc)
Alsooo let us decorate our own backyard! If we don’t get to place items outside, at least let us decorate a designated backyard/front yard area around our house!

I don't know. I would like to have backyards that for sure, but the rooms were okay I think? If the game works with bigger rooms then I see no reason to say no, but if it doesn't fit then stick to the previous room sizes.

I'd love the house sizes to increase but also for the loading screens to be removed when going from room to room. A lot of rooms means that you have to go through soooo many loading screens which is tedious. Also, maybe the rooms dont have to be just square. I wanna be able to pick a shape, even varying levels within the room so you can have raised spaces or sunken areas. And also to be able to downgrade houses. It sucks to be stuck with a giant of a house if one day you decided you wanted a tiny cozy bathroom but you can never make the room smaller after you've expanded it.

As for backyards, I'm all for it! In fact, I'd love to even have a front yard. :)

i think houses are big enough. tbh i even found myself having trouble filling up every room with furniture. i think adding front/backyards would be a cute idea, though

I agree with a lot of the others. I don't think houses need to be bigger. It would be neat if you could adjust the size of rooms though. Like Happy Home Designer lets you make rectangle shaped rooms.

I absolutely want to be able to decorate outside though. I don't want just yards. It'd be nice to decorate everywhere. They could probably just do away with some of the decorative PWPs at that point and just make them "furniture" that you can place outside.

I don't feel like I need any extra rooms in my house. I'm fine with the current size. I would like to have some type of outdoor area that I could decorate/customize, though. I always designate a room in my house to decorate as a backyard/garden/outdoor area, so if they gave us the option to actually decorate our yard, I would be happy. Plus, that would give me a room back to decorate in my house since I'd no longer feel the need to create my own outdoor space.

One of my ideas from my Idea Book puts four 8x8 rooms along a 12x8 main room in not just the first floor, but also the second floor. It also asks for a 12x8 basement and a plot or yard for the outdoors. So I voted both.

Honestly, the rooms we have currently are fine. However, I would like an 'outdoor' expansion of sorts, or rather a choice of one if they could make that work. I'd love to have an option of a fenced off garden, or adding a lake to the side of my house.

Both are really nice, but I think I would like the outdoor yard better. When I played Happy Home Designer, it was fun putting outdoor furniture outside around the house. :)

I really want yards added, especially if we can put furniture out there. I don't think we need more rooms or larger rooms, toward the end of my house expansion in New Leaf I was running out of ideas for room themes and having a hard time designing them so that they looked full without too much open empty space.

I'd definitely like more rooms in the house. I didn't vote for the backyard option, but I think I'd be open to it.

I would love extra room and a yard option. We could do it in HHD, I don?t see a reason why it wouldn?t be integrated into the switch game too. I hoard furniture and clothes, so I?m always in need of some extra house space!

For Homes, I'm fine with the number of rooms we have now. But I'd love to see rooms get as large a 12x12, as well as have various resizing options for rectangles and such.

For yards, I'd love them, too - But not with heavy fencing like in HHD. It would be more like personal space given to a villager or player that would vary by location, where each villager and player controls the furnishings around their homes.

I'm fine with the size of the houses. In fact, sometimes I have a little trouble deciding what to do with all my space, lol. However, the backyard thing would be great. I got spoiled being able to decorate the outside in Happy Home Designer and I'd like to be able to do that again in this next game. I'm hoping they'll re-use that aspect of the game.

There was an idea I saw somewhere that I thought was pretty cool in regards to the spacing of your house interior: The ability to customize the spacing of your house through a floor plan. We have dealt with big square rooms for a while now. Imagine being able to expand your house block by block, with minimal restirction in regards to where you can have them. After your first room reaches a certain size, maybe you could branch out into some hallways that connect rooms of varying sizes wherever you want them. As you pay off your loans, you would earn more blocks to unlock. This would also be available for the top floor and basement. There could be presets for overwhelmed players, too. A system like this could allow you to:

1)Keep certain rooms at a preferred size, which is something I see some players complain about from time to time.
2)Choose where the stairs to your second floor and basement go, as well as the entrance to your house. If backyards are implemented, maybe you could pick where the backyard exit goes.
3)Feasibly recreate a real house in-game.
4)Have villager houses be more varied if they utilize this kind of system.
