last film you watched!

Point blank (1967)

You're lucky. My libraries don't even have that one!

Anyways, the last movie I watched was Ripley's Game (2002).

Definitely underrated on IMDb, and I had always thought that John Malkovich plays a better Tom Ripley than Matt Damon.

Samurai Rebellion

I think now it's my favourite Masaki Kobayashi film. Even more so than Harakiri (still love it though).

The Remains of the Day

Now I'm a Merchant Ivory fan already.

Holy sh-t I remember reading that book ages ago. Must've been like in.. 7th grade maybe.

Anyways.

Touki Bouki

Very much french new wave/soviet montage but still pretty entertaining.

Labor Day
I cried multiple times and i'm okay with that. </3

I'd recommend you give this film a chance. :)

Anyways, the last movie I watched was Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island.

Here's my review.

It sure looks great. Makes me want to re-read the book too. Ahh nostalgia.

Also about your recent Samurai III I'd say anything Mifune is a must-watch :p

-finds myself flippin' through your reviews-

Also, considering what Shyamalan did to Avatar: The Last Airbender I very much understand your points about Signs. The Atanarjuat review was interesting too. Recently read a text comparing it to Nanook of the North so def. have to watch Atanarjuat at some point.

Yeah, I didn't like Signs way too much. I just found it to be rather highly overrated. And about Atanarjuat, you're definitely not going to regret watching that one. Every last second of it truly is worth watching.

I watched the Lion King for the first time recently. Somebody wanted me to settle an argument about whether The Lion King or Frozen is better, so I decided to finally sit down and watch it. Awesome movie.
