Does anybody here collect Lego or did anybody play with it when they were kids? I had a Lego set that I would build little animals with and make up adventures for them, plus I would steal Lego from after school daycare, despite being caught by the teachers. I felt like I was simply taking my own creations home and I still have some of them.

When I was in my last year of high school, I bought a Creator log cabin when my nearby toy store was moving locations and selling Lego for 20% off. I couldn't stop at that set, so I bought more and more Creator sets and a pink tub of bricks. I got into Lego Friends as well and now that's my main theme. I know the minidolls aren't too popular, but I am fond of them. I have probably a total of 20 000 or even more bricks at this point. I bought a secondhand tub of Friends sets, most of which I didn't have before. There's a few doubles, but I can do custom builds with the extra pieces.

I'm not finished collecting Lego. I ordered the Friends Friendship box and I'm planning to use one of the builds from it to decorate my desk at work. https://shop.lego.com/en-CA/product/Friendship-Box-41346

I used to play with them when I was a kid. I recall having a lot of them at one point. I think we gave them away to some other kids once I got older, however. :)

Yep, I had a big tub of the larger, more child friendly ones when I was younger.
I don't really see those kind around any more.

There was some older ones in there too, different types from different things. I probably sold them in a yard sale at some point. One of my more-liked toys for sure.

I played a ton of Legos as a kid and loved the Lego video games back then as well (like Lego Rock Raiders)! :D I have a footlocker stuffed to the gut with Lego bricks and I look forward to the day that my future kids can play with them as well! :)

Yeah bruh. I loved being at grandma's and play with her old 70s lego, those were da bomb. Not a fan of all those modern building sets or baby duplo stuff though lol.

i played with it a lot but i'll never forget the amount of times ive stepped on it.

Aw man, this brings me back. Some of my earliest memories are of my Fabuland (I think that's what it was called) Lego-sets. All of the characters were animals. Kind of like a Lego Animal Crossing. I think there were Fabuland books as well. Great stuff.

I played with then as a kid, still play with them as an adult, but not as much.

Best Lego theme - Bionicle (especially the Mata Nui sets from 2001 to 2003). I hope Lego re-releases them.

I don?t think so. I was more into action figures when I was a kid.

I have! I loved those as a kid. I just helped my sister build her LEGO Friends set. Although we stepped on tons of Legos in the process, it turned out great.

I played with Lego quite a bit as a kid. They didn't sell sets back then, so I just had a big tub of them and I usually built houses or different types of buildings. But I had a lot of fun with them.

Oh man, Lego were my THING back in the day! I always asked for sets for Christmas, birthday, etc. Love those things! One of my favorite themed sets were the UFO ones, I think? Though, honestly, so MANY of them are awesome!!:)

I actually interestingly didn't play with Lego that much as a kid and only really played with it for a significant amount of time in my late teens.

My brother and I have. I had a small box with them when I was younger, but I'm not sure where it is anymore. Other than that, my brother and I build Lego Star Wars ships and played with those.

As a kid, I LOVED Lego. I had a ton of regular Lego, as well as a couple Princess sets from Disneyland & a bunch of Harry Potter sets. Eventually I outgrew it, and my parents gave it all away.

Then, a couple of years ago, my boyfriend got a Star Wars set as a secret Santa gift, and thus started our tradition of building a Lego set on Christmas Day. Three years worth of projects now have a home on our bookshelf. :)

I always loved Legos. 😀 My interests in it began waning once there'd be nothing but Indiana Jones, Star Wars and other Hollywood themed sets instead of regular ol' colored lego blocks. 👎 The final nail in the coffin was when I discovered Blockland. It was like playing with Legos in 1st person mode, only it had sophisticated community-made mods and the overall audience in Blockland was mature, sharp witted and often rude. 😳 And that's a good thing: Roblox had begun being full of children 👶 and Minecraft often had creepy 🤓 or very tryhard 🤬 players in it. Blockland was for the bros. 🍺😎🤝😎🍺 Blockland was niche and eventually died off, but it is still up and running. It's very much an enjoyable single-player experience, so if you ever wanted to play with Legos from the perspective of a little mini-figure with the smooth controls of a FPS game, definitely look into Blockland... oh and message me immediately: I wanna play too! 😜

It escapes my mind if I actually owned any lego when I was a child. Whether or not it was expensive back then either, I hardly remember.
But when I went to my cousins house which I think was often, they had a HUGE lego set; and since my cousins were older than me, I merely played with lego by myself or that's how I remember it. Since the lego, I believed was one of my cousins (who sadly passed), I was allowed to keep the lego, and have it all in a huge box under my bed.

The lego set was a mix match one ones, theres a huge ship you can build on, and I adored the tiny lil stuff to add to the building stuff like flowers, and such.
I think they used to try fluing some of their creations together actually XD Because there's at least one veichle I can't disconnect. I think I mainly liked making houses, there were enough doors to choose from. Other timesI did eventually get some lego to add, and have the chance to make new things.

Another memory, is the family friends around the corner from us, they're grandchildren who I played with often (at the time I was a tiny bit older than them) they loved lego, so had a few sets at their grandparents, which I also played with.

I think as a child, my creative side was more arty, and story wise than it was using blocks.

I mainly played with my toy animals figures (that's what you call the plastic/molded animals molded in one position right?), where I usually used the whole living room as my stage and have all the animals line up and go to school XD The bigger the animal, the older they were for different schooling XD Or I faintly remember, imaging them all as like digimon and (twirling them around) making the smaller ones into bigger animals XD

I played with Legos frequently as a kid. I had a couple of sets and one of those pre filled Lego containers. One of my sets was a ninja thing with some jewels, scorpions, and snake pieces and the other had Lego horses and some bushes. The container had a couple of sets of wheels which were nice.
I mostly liked playing with plastic figurines as a kid.

i had a ferrari truck and racing car lego set, a shop and a yellow crane growing up. also some miscellaneous stuff. i found the lego stuff in my room a couple of weeks ago in a clear out! i was going to give the ferrari set away along with the other stuff, but then i saw how much it sold for and decided to finish building it heh. completing it was great!!

i had an interest in some minecraft lego a few weeks ago but i haven't bought anything, i think it might have been a phase
