We dont know yet cause he can have a similar mechanic where he shows up in the plaza after the update similar to Kicks and Mable... time will tell.

That's what I've been saying all along - NPC's are going to make a return in one way or the other.
People have just been freaking out and bashing the game for no reason.

Imo I feel as though nintendo will make it so they stay. I dont see them adding and removing content every month; just adding in the holidays and events as they come c:
So for the first year we cant TT to the events but I'm assuming the 2nd year itll be less restricted?

Great news!!! I hope it's not just for the event though... I'd be really optimistic for the future of the game if they made him permanent otherwise I see them going the Pocket Camp route and just having them for events which I'm not a fan of.

Im right there with ya. I need lilies but they're not part of my "3 assigned flowers" via mystery island tours and nooks. I even tried trading for them and they still didn't end up in my store. I also get anxious trading, so I hope with this update they reconsider only giving people three flower types each.
