Leif no longer appearing

Hello everyone. I bought animal crossing this year and one of the issues I have is with the character Leif. He was there the first day and then again on a different day. Now it’s been almost a month and I still haven’t encountered him since. Is this a glitch? My animal crossing is updated to 1.7.2 yet nothing changed. All the other NPC spawn and come but Leif does not anymore.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Leif a whole lot recently either.

Are you usually playing late at night? Because I think Lief leaves when Nook's Cranny closes. So maybe on the days he was visiting, you opened the game late and missed him? Cuz the way visitors work now is that you will encounter each one once every 2 weeks, with a chance for 1 of them to show up both weeks. So he *has* to be visiting at some point. Unless this is a bug, which I don't think is a known bug if so.

I haven't had any issues with Leif not showing up. At first I thought that I was going long periods of time without seeing him, but I think it was more than one week he would be there early, like on Monday, and then he wouldn't show up until late the week after the next one, making it seem like I was never seeing him. But looking at my app, he's been on my island every other week.

Yeah this happened to me last time he was on my island. I saw him and ran to the cranny knowing it was closing in a couple of mins and I wanted to get the Festivale item of the day. When I left the Cranny Leif was gone!

For me he usually shows up the first or second day of the month without exception. I've tt'ed in the past and I have always seen him show up during the first few days of the month. I looked it up and he has a possibility of randomly spawning Mon-Friday from 5am-10pm.

It's random, like flick and cj. If another special npc is on the island I don't think Lief can appear (maybe? not 100% certain but this is always the case for me at least). He is pretty common for me though, but I also time travel a ton

Leif shows up once every 2 weeks for me. No exception.

I got Leif a couple days ago. If you usually play late at night, then I then that's probably what is preventing him from showing up, like UglyMonsterFace said.

Have you time traveled at all? At the start of each week, the game will roll for who visits the town each week, giving a 100% chance visit to any NPC who wasn't in the town the previous week. When you time travel, it can interrupt this flow.

I got the game in January had leif regular one every two weeks at least I wiped my game and restarted after 10 days and restarted been playing new new island for over 30 days not had leif visit once never time travelled still waiting for leif to appear had to rely on friends having him

me too but I am pretty sure he comes at least every 3 weeks

So leif finally appeared this morning better late than never pic below to prove its his first visit as he doesn't even know my name 38 days absence and as soon as I tell someone about it he appears to call me out
