First off, don't spam/flame my threads. There is no need to in what was meant to be a good discussion.

Now, I'm not the one to be stubborn when there is no case for it. I was wrong....on ownership of the board.

This is the purpose of the discussion. You brought up a quote and I was able to get a more correct answer. This is why I wanted to have a discussion...not to purely flaunt my thought around....

But it still leaves my other point about how the forum works.

Also, Storm, I've said this twice and I'll say it again, higher more staff if you are too busy. I'm not asking for a job, I'm just telling you your only soultion. Leaving users in the open and just telling them they can leave if they want to (possibly because of a bad mood) is not nice nor helpful. You can say I was being rude but only after others were rude first, Storm.

You have 2 admins, 2 global mods, and one local mod who I haven't seen anything of (I don't go into the AC boards, granted). If you feel you're taking care of 1,000 members telling them to leave isn't the only solution.

When I said this before I was told I don't know anything about the talks in the staff board so I can only think that you are going to higher more staff. If it can make the staff less busy and more human to talk to I can only hope it is done sooner rather than later.

We're aware of the need for more forum moderators, and we have lists of possibilities. Of course, we can't do everything immediately, however there will continue to be more staff promotions within the upcoming days.
how long ya gotta be here to be a mod
I would assume you would have to have been here for quite some time to know the rules by heart and be very familiar with the moajority of the members who regularly post on the forum.

Of course, if you've been a member for a decent amount of time, and you out of dozens of members that log on each day, than there's always the possibility of becoming a mod.

Asking to be a moderator, unless the situation is unique, generally indicates you're power hungry. Simply enjoy and have fun in the forums ^_^

The only reason I wished to be a moderator is because I saw some threads that could be edited, deleted, locked, etc.

Reporting; 98% of the time helps clear out the nasty little bugs in forums.

Yes, I expect new mods to come. Though, I'm sure of who won't be a mod.

And longevity really has nothing to do with being mod. Really if you have an impressive entrance like, say Mickey, your time here will be of less importance.

My God, he's been here 4 days and I see him as the smartest, if not that the wisest, member on this board (Not including Sporge since I never see him.)

Erm, thank you for the compliment!

However, in my personal opinion, people who have been here on the forums for a bit longer have more experience and are more familiar with the people they are conversing with on a Daily Basis. You may be right though, I may not know for a fact, but I know that I was promoted to moderate over this section over another forum before I was even two months old in the forum.

I suppose it depends on your maturity and understanding of enforcing the rules.

Well, of course, I can only think of one older member who's a likely candidate for modship, and that's Keohler.
