Again, don't have any good photos with Plucky but here's a little going away event we had for her ft. other Riverrun residents at the time.

The only photo I have of Leopold that I actually kinda like! He's my first villager (islander?) who I saw interact with any of the furniture I placed so he's pretty memorable for me. Also.. He was my first camper.

The last of my villagers to leave before I knew photos were a thing (!!!). I still feel somewhat sad that the first 3 villagers I had I don't have photos of, but aaah, I don't think I'll actually have them back on my island anytime soon. Or if at all. Funny enough, I've bumped to all 3 (Plucky, Leopold, and Norma) a handful of times when I've been doing island hopping to search for new villagers.

Just going through stuff I posted on my AC twitter and realised.. I never posted a photo of my resident rep with Antonio! So I just have to settle for this shot of her and his photo lol. Anyway, it was only during this time (around when Norma left!) I heard about photos and knew about their existence so I was determined to get every photo of my current villagers before letting them leave.

I actually found it pretty hard to let Pinky go, but when I got her photo, I decided that it was time.. And I also got Dom (after hunting for him and using 80 NMT rip) so I guess it's not all bad! Anyway, I still miss this pink bear from time to time. :<

She was pretty close with Pekoe too, I think.

First time.....

... to play the game (3/22/2020)

I had pre-ordered the physical copy of the game, but because of the lockdown enforced in my country I wasn't able to claim it. I was thinking of waiting but after 2 weeks, and seeing all the screenshots and what felt like hundreds of articles written about AC, I finally caved in and bought a digital copy.

Tbh, I miss seeing the little Nooklings outside the shop.

First time to catch an oarfish. I was really crazy about fishing and bug catching when I first started playing. With the release of new fishes, I think I'll go back to catching fish. Although.. I do wish the fish models were as cool as the bug models.​

... To this day I have yet to claim the deposit I made for the physical version. r i p me.

Didn't realise it back then but I was probably lucky to have met him so early in the game! Not sure what he gave me then though!

Also it was the day I first encountered Blathers in NH.

Also first time to go island hopping! I think I only used the free NMT and didn't go on further.

I think either Plucky or Antonio gave this to me and lol this was the first ridiculous outfit I've made my res rep wear xD

Again, I don't think I did much island hopping (I don't think I had a lot of NMTs at the time to do so having just started the game), but was lucky enough to get Pinky!

!!! Beau! He's my favorite and even if he's stuck in a starter home, I'm reluctant to give him up haha.

First time..... (part 2!)

Since my memory card is full already (10k photos +videos rip), I have to get rid of them! So here’s a hodgepodge update on Riverrun.

It’s the first time I’ve seen Flora, Dom, and Raymond interact with each other! Well, sorta interact at least they’re within each other’s vicinity. Didn’t really think that Flora and Dom would be besties but judging from the way they’re hanging out they seem to be getting along just fine.
Silly office cat’s giving a concert and the two behind him are lowkey judging him, I’m sure!

I was in a bit of an AC slump a couple of weeks ago - until the new update, that is! I really enjoyed diving (and still do but not as crazy about it as I was in the beginning) but playing hide and seek with Pascal? Not really.
And when I do finally find him he just gives me a pearl? Nope!!
I’m just glad that I have 2 alternate accounts so I was easily able to get the DIYs even without much TT-ing. I just got the mermaid screen DIY today so yes, I finally have all the DIYs! Honestly, I think I have all the mermaid stuff + DIYs so that’s a big relief.
Kind of funny actually... I didn’t know until a week or two ago that you could actually go diving without the diving mask. On accident too because I was in a hurry when I saw huge bubbles and forgot to put it on. To think I was dedicating one inventory space for the mask rip.

One of my favorite parts of my island: An outdoor bakery! I’m thinking of redoing it and placing it in a different part of my island. Really love the wedding cakes though and I’m almost tempted to go back to June and get some more (+ the wedding organ) but.. lazy ;;
Anyway, managed to trap Celeste in the bakery on the day she visited. She seemed like she’s enjoying herself so no harm done!
Also yay for birthday stuff! It was my birthday a few weeks ago and I had gotten some birthday items (in-game as well as purchased here and in nookazon/reddit) so I also made use of the birthday table for my bakery!

I was so frustrated with Flora because she’s been a resident of Riverrun since the beginning (maybe first 5-6? Not sure). While I was trying to get her photo, I ended up getting Dom’s too which came as a surprise to me because he’s one of my newest residents!
I tried the mailbox method (aka give a non-native fruit from a stack to a resident while you have a full inventory so they have to send their gift by mail) and managed to get 2 photos so far. Haven’t really been playing everyday though and have yet to get other photos using this method. But I think it works so hopefully I’ll get more photos this way!

I was so ready to boot Flora out using amiibo but on the day I got her picture, we had a visitor at the campsite and... It was Cookie!!
I never really thought about her, much less think of wanting her on my island, but when I saw her I decided then and there to get her! Much less of a hassle than going through amiibo lol.
The games were a bit annoying to go through, and at first I think she chose Judy to leave and I noped my way out of there so fast because nope, not going to give her up! Took me almost 80 nmts to get Judy so I wasn’t going to let her go just like that.
But lucky enough.. She asked for Flora to leave! Bingo!!
Anyway, Cookie’s my newest resident. Really love her and the colors of my resident rep’s outfit matched with her! It was meant to be haha.

Ending this entry with the current state of my island, aka a copy of my map.
I’m thinking of making changes to it. Probably nothing drastic because thinking of huge projects makes me feel ill lolol. Hoping to finally make a neighborhood! Maybe place the cafe in that general area but aaa, I’m not sure yet what I want to do.

More random updates! Not really in chronological order anymore because I’m just trying to get rid of screenshots lol

Guess who finally decided to show up on my island? Yep, it’s Pirate Gullivar! He’s visited my island a total of two times but I’ve farmed him enough in those two visits that I have more or less gotten all the pirate stuff that I want from him. In fact, I got lucky and got the pirate chest from him on his first visit!

When it comes to all things RNG, my luck is fair at most. So when I saw there was a campsite visitor, I didn’t really think too much of it. Didn’t really want to get my hopes up + I was still burnt out at the time.. Until I saw it was Raymond visiting!
He asked Dom to leave first (All my campsite visitors seem to want him gone LOL). In fact, he asked for Dom to leave 5 times. FIVE!!
I thought I -‘d too late or something and was just about to give up on him because I really didn’t want to give up Dom, but on the 6th try he asked Pekoe to leave.
So without thinking or dwelling on it too much, I said yes.
Anyway, Pekoe will be back in Riverrun. This time probably with Genji in tow

Spotted the local office cat, aka Raymond, enjoying a popsicle underneath some bell trees. In these instances I have to agree that he is quite cute! Anyway still feel really lucky that I was able to get him from campsite without really trying to get him! He just randomly popped up one day.

Not really a great picture but aaaah!! The first few days of finally having sharks in North Hemisphere, I had some crazy fun fishing. This is one of my favorite exhibits in the museum. Currently have 2 great white models from CJ and thinking of commissioning a sunfish too. I think I have enough to have one made problem is CJ hasn’t come back for quite some time now.. That or I just haven’t seen him, he tends to pop up in hidden places or hard to see areas on my island. ;;

I also recently made a little cafe bakery on my island since the wedding cakes really inspired me to finally make one! Just in time too for the wave 2 bell tree summer contest. I’ll just be making a few tweaks and I’ll be sure to enter it. I’m thinking of dismantling it and placing it somewhere else though so I can finally start on makinga neighborhood that I’ve been procrastinating on. Also, look at how cute Dom is with the bow!! Wish he wore it everyday but.. After this day I haven’t seen him with it. Sad. :c

A full house outside Resident Services. I really want to know what the mechanics are for the little stools to be brought out (or sometimes even a barbecue?? I’ve seen screenshots of other islands whose villagers crowd around a barbecue but haven’t personally seen one on my island yet).
Also, I’m thinking of changing up the decor outside my Resident Services. I’m still on the fence on what to put on there instead though so for the moment this is the current set-up. Hopefully not for too long.

After seeing photos of churches posted by other players, I wanted to make one too! I’ve added a black and white flooring here and some more pews, changed the throwback gothic mirror to white but other than that this place still looks the same.

August 2, 2020 Sunday
Aka the first fireworks event in Riverrun was held today!

Who doesn’t love fireworks? They’re one of the best things in life because they’re free! Well, someone pays for them but viewing them’s free so.. More or less the same thing right? Being cooped up in home and experiencing being under quarantine, I really enjoyed seeing fireworks even if it’s just in-game.
My villagers all seemed to enjoy the show too as we watched the fireworks together and they even cheered my resident rep on as I played the numbers game (LOL whatever the game is actually called idk) with Redd because I had to get multiple balloons. Backup, y’know!
Anyway, also can’t believe my dumb luck that the theme for the summer event wave 2 was cafe... Good thing I didn’t tear this part of my island apart before taking a photo of it!
Now just to decide on where to move it..

Most of my villagers were at the plaza - Poppy, Dom, Cherry, Fang, Ankha, and Cookie! Beau and Judy watched the fireworks near their houses (which were close to each other.. Maybe they were actually on a date?lmao). Office cat, aka Raymond, wasn’t around though. Saw the lights in his house were on but I didn’t go inside.

Lol my island is slowly turning into a canine paradise - there’s Isabelle, Cherry, and Cookie. I guess Freya and Fang could be sorta included in that category too?
Anyway!! So cute!! I love the sparklers. I also love the boppers. Can’t believe my luck that I got the heart one. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get the star bopper next time. I want to match with Isabelle haha.

Random update # 2
Again, trying to clean up some memory card storage space so here’s some updates on the small island of Riverrun!

Finally, Freya finally gave me her photo! I used the mailbox method so I wasn’t able to see the new dialogue that villagers have when they do finally give you their photo. I’m not even sure if I’ll be ever to see it because aaah. Seems like villagers are more choosy now in regards to gifts? ;~~~~;
Also!! Spot my resident rep wearing the cat meme shirt. I’ve been trying to make use of more of the clothes that’s just hanging out in my storage. It’s also been ages since I’ve worn glasses in-game.

One of my wip places by the beach! I really want to make a beach bar kind of place with full on tiki torches and some more Maoi statues. I also want to make some stalls by the beach selling ice cream and ice cones. Obviously these two places don’t really go well together but I just placed the all in a heap in a corner of my beach - to remind myself that I still have to work on these places!

Also.. Fang is definitely mister popular! I often chance upon him in conversation with my other villagers and the interactions are usually funny, kinda cute really! The other day I saw him arguing with Dom about being number one in some sport or another, and he ended it by saying he was president of said sport. Their relationship wasn’t damaged though! By late afternoon, I visited Fang at home and lo and behold, Dom was there visiting.
I really think these two could be besties despite the difference in personality.. and the fact that in the wild, Fang would probably gobble Dom up in a second.

Budding friendship (or dare I say.. romance? lolol) between Fang and Cherry. I don’t know about y’all but I’m here for it! Ankha might not think so though, judging these two from afar.
What can I say? Fang is Riverrun’s Mr. Popular.
I also really need to change my island flag.

I should have probably posted this sooner. My birthday was almost a month ago but I just realised I didn’t post any screenshots of it yet.
I was surprised that it was Flora who prepared my surprise birthday party - was lowkey hoping it’d be either Fang or Beau but at least they were there at the party!
Yea, my resident rep went to the party in her swimwear. xDD

I don’t really have huge celebrations held on my birthday, maybe meet a couple of friends to eat out. But this year, I couldn’t even do that so being able to celebrate it even in this way made me happy! At least my virtual animal friends had a blast lol.

One of my villagers gave me the birthday table in exchange for a cupcake.. But.. Why can’t we interact with the birthday table like this instead of just turning the candle on/off??? (
