I was actually thinking about Lottie very recently. Will be happy if/when she returns. I don't much care what she ends up doing but the dream would be for her to let you revamp villager interiors/exteriors. It would definitely make everyone's villagers just that tiny bit more unique.
I will say I'm very cautious about datamines at this point given Brewster has been datamined for what, a year now? I don't doubt he will eventually happen but who knows when that is...

This would all be wonderful. Also, maybe she could work some shifts at Resident Services so that Tom and Isabelle can have some breaks.
Yea I think Tom and Isabelle could definitely use a break. It would be nice to see them walk around the island if given a break.

Hmm I don't know. I mean I seen Lottie in Pocket Camp and New Leaf so I do remember she is part of the HHA but I really don't know what role she will play. The only thing I remember is that she does make an appearance in New Leaf and that she will give you the feature to move your furniture in your home using the touch screen.
Of course in New Horizons that feature is already there in our homes so it would be pointless to bring her back for that. Maybe she can work for Resident Services? Like maybe she can help you customize how the shops or the villagers homes look like? Something that I'm guessing. They can easily change her role if they wanted to but I am having a hard time guessing what use will she have in New Horizons.
Of course in New Horizons that feature is already there in our homes so it would be pointless to bring her back for that. Maybe she can work for Resident Services? I think it's cool that she could be coming back. I legit find it funny how opposed some of you are against stuff/npc coming back. You can pretend that she/whatever it is isn't actually in your game if you don't want it.
It could be like how Digby was used in NL where she hosts the HHA where you go to this extended area in the shopping center where everyone's home that you friended/visited is on display for you to walk through and or buy stuff from.
I never used it much in the NL days and so Digby's introduction in NL pretty much meant nothing to me, but it was still a cute feature. And someone could enjoy using it and checking out someone's home (especially if it can update in real time/per hour) Then you could cataloge without trading/visiting.

I don't see that happening considering that you can just go to the Dream Suite and visit other people's islands and you can go inside their homes to get inspiration.
Sorry, I meant to finish what I was typing, but you could catalogue the stuff to. DA was in NL to. So it was a convenient feature to buy stuff without trading online.

I love Lottie as a character and really liked HHD, so hoping they'll be bringing over HHD elements to NH to fix up our home -- things like, ceiling fixtures, doors, changing room sizes/shape, ambient sounds instead of music, optional windows for wallpapers without them, and more exterior house choices (different roofs, siding, size and shape, etc.)
Being able to design villager homes inside and out would be awesome as well. I think that's less likely, but would be fantastic. They should at least add an option to reset a home/wardrobe back to default in case they're gifted clothes or items you don't wish them to display.
Being able to change Resident Services, the airport, and the plaza tiles would be great as well.
Don't want to get my hopes too high, but really hoping she's added with some significant home/building customization options.

I guess when you put it that way I could see that being useful for those who don't want to do trading. That could be really useful if it does happen.
personally i'm excited for any change related to house decoration, whether it's just some new items/customisation options or something big like a new game mechanic! i do wonder if it's related to the reference to ceiling items in an older datamine

Unfortuantely, it only updgraded the homes for people you spot-passed on your 3ds. So I only had two or three. So if it does happen, I hope they can do it right and make it anyone who you friend and or meet online.

Yeah I don't remember much of the Street Pass from New Leaf since I never experienced it and I don't know what its like.

I know lack of NPCs is a common complaint for New Horizons. The more the merrier! I welcome any NPC's being added and hope it's true. I really like the idea of her living upstairs in Nook's Cranny and selling stuff for our homes like ceiling items. That sounds adorable.

Ok cool I want her brother to come back and isabelle's brother too. Other options for the out side of the house would be great. More color options? HHA come back and we redecorate our villagers homes. Ceiling furniture added when there update comes around.
