Letters to Jingle

Dearest Jingle,
I know this year will be such a hassle because the coronavirus will probably have you quarantined for a long time after Toy Day, but I am so glad to hear you are coming to visit Sunset Bay. I remember seeing you on my old island, and it’s nice that you are coming back to visit me. I do wish for holiday cheer and peace on earth and generic stuff like that, but I would also like to see you in, like, real life. That would make me so happy. Also I wish you a very safe holiday and an amazing new year. Also, you need a break from making toys once in a while. Come visit again and we will certainly have enough room for you to relax and enjoy yourself.

Sincerely, Jen from Sunset Bay
P.S. I really missed you.

Dear Jingle,

I know that you, with all your heart, wants to make everyone happy out there on Toy Day. However, I writing this letter with the urgent please to not fulfill the wish of 10.000 pizza rolls which a kind villager, Bob, wished for. We still struggle with a whole bunch of (now rotten) eggs from the last Bunny Day, requested by the same villager who was so hungry for eggs, yet not managed to eat the asked amount in time. Tom Nook is very furious, as the island smells terrible ever since, because nobody knows where we should take the rotten eggs. We already receiving complaints from other islands about this issue.

To prevent any more problems in terms of rotten food, please gift him instead a lovely sweater and perhaps only 10 pizza rolls. Trust me, this is enough for him and he will be still happy about it. Thank you for your understanding.

...Also, since I already writing you, could I may get a Nintendo Switch this year, please? I would also be glad over a Lite (but a regular one would be better). Thanks a lot in advance, you're the best!

Sincerely,

Shirley from Sheepfield

Dearest Jingle,

I need your help.

There seems to be something strange going on in Arborville. You see as sole representative for this island, a lot seems to slip by. A new neighbour named Rhonda somehow arrived. She says she’s from another island, yet after questioning the representative… she left months ago. Strange.. who are they.

Other happenings being this dress which somehow zapped onto Raymond’s body. Thiis Astro dress in pink, which he likes to wear from time to time. I never gave it him, no one else would have given it him. No matter what I give him or tell Isabelle to remove it, that dress seems to stay. Would you mind taking it from him? (Dispose of it however, just don’t let him find it.)

There also seems to be a lot of exercising going on. Maybe I’m not in the circle of news but, I feel a little weary of what they’re doing. They don’t even try to hide that they’re doing it either. It sounds crazy but, half of my island has lazy villager. Why would they be encouraged to exercise!

I hope you can help with my worries.

With Thanks, Bee.

Dear Jingle,

I hope you are enjoying the festive season! We’ve been preparing for your arrival all week on Coral Key. By the time you arrive our humble island will be positively bursting with holiday cheer!

Dom, Vladimir, and Raymond put up our holiday tree in the town square, though ‘Mr. Muscles’ Dom did most of the work. Raymond and Vlad were great “supervisors”! Judy, Bluebear, Apple, and Marina have been going door to door caroling for us, it’s great fun! Orville and Wilbur even came out to sing a rousing rendition of the “Twelve Days of Christmas”, also known as “Two Dodos in a Pear Tree”.

Bones and Sherb went to gather fruit to make the most brilliant Christmas fruitcake but they ended up getting lost in the orchard. All was well in the end- they were able to follow the Christmas lights all the way back home!

Today the whole island gathered together at my house to make some homemade cookies in celebration of your big arrival. Good news is I finally learned how to use my system kitchen! Bad news is some of them are a bit…well done.

See you on Toy Day!

Dear Jingle,

When you come to deliver gifts to my island, I ask that you ignore how underdeveloped it is. Despite the fact that Destiny is about 8 months old, I had to give up on renovations when my fall college semester started. My island’s main tourist attraction is the parasitic flowers that sprout up seemingly out of nowhere. They sweep across the ground, suffocating everything in their path. I haven’t seen bare ground in months. My villagers are trapped inside their houses every day by a wall of flowers. Performing emergency gardening with an axe has become one of my constant duties as a representative. I fear leaving for too long, in case my animal friends starve in their petal-covered prisons. I don’t suppose you could get me maximum strength weed killer for Toy Day, could you?

Sincerely,

ThatOneMarshalFangirl

P.S. please hurry, they’re comi---

Dearest Jingle,

I know this has been a year that feels almost never ending, but just look! We've made it! Toy Day is inching closer as I write err...I mean type out this letter! I'm not asking for much this year but I do have one simple request. It's to grant any an all of Puck's Toy Day wishes this year! I haven't been a very good resident rep these past few months, so I kinda feel as though I've neglected my best friend! We go way back, from back when he randomly plopped his house right into my flower garden in New Leaf. He says that isn't the case, however with life getting in the way I haven't made much time for him. I'm trying my very best though! Promise! So for Toy Day this year, please give Puck any toy his heart desires. I'm certain that he's been a good boy this year! No need to even check your list on this one.

P.S. He's really good friends with the bugs that live under his floorboards, so maybe pick something out for them too? Thanks!

Sincerely and with love,

digimon

Hey Jingle!

Crazy year has it not? Regardless, I wish next year brings hope and happiness for all. I also hope next year brings people together as we walk out of the ashes caused by the wild fire of a pandemic. This is my first Christmas with my soon-to-be in-laws, so excited and I know my fiancee is as well! What I wish for Christmas is that I will be able to enjoy it with all of my family and I wish all of my friends the same! I look forward to seeing you in PARADISE on Toy Day, I know my villagers are too!

Sincerely,
Jared
P.S. Rumor has it that Resetti is wanting a lump coal for Christmas, I know he would be super thrilled!

Dear Jingle,

My name is Sara? And I must ask you a very serious question like a crucial one, okay? So what happens if you get sick on Christmas Eve? Do you have like a back up Jingle plan ? With this letter I want to formally let you know that I have been practicing been a festive reindeer for an entire year just in case you get sick, so I can help you out, In case you need my resume let me know and ill send it to you via mail, I must tell I was under very strict deer training!.

On further notice, throughout my training and hard studying I came across by another very famous festive reindeer called Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, and I was shaken by your resemblance with him, I mean if you take the red nose you two look identical, you guys are basically a nose away from each other. I must therefore ask you this, are you two relatives ? Or do you just put on a glowing nose mask for Christmastime ?. If the latter is correct, I must yet again ask another very important and crucial question ! How old are you? because you have been around for generations now!

With lots of love,

Your De-ar apprentice

Is there like a small % up or down in words, Is 17 words over the limit okey ?if not i could try cut some words. Sorry still on student mode and word counts and up or down limits are still in my brain 🤣
Hi @Sara? ,

As mentioned, entries should not go beyond 200 words. The 100-200 is intended to be the wiggle room, so we are imposing those as strict limits. :) Please resubmit within the word count limit in a new post as opposed to editing your existing one for me to be able to accept your entry. Thank you! ❄

hey jingle,
whats up?

everyone in town has been rumoring that you won’t visit this year. they're all saying you left this corner of the earth to take a relaxing island vacation. according to pete, our mail can’t reach your new postal code ! he said something about customs not letting them through.

poor genji wouldn't stop crying- uh, sweating from his eyes. (he insists it was out of jealousy that you were able to fly in a plane)

anyway, if the rumors are true, then what the heck were you thinking? i thought we were annual partners in crime, the toy day duo, the jolly jinglers!
plus, i can’t possibly steal the villager’s wish lists from the post office (i kind of doubt phyllis would mind though), even less summon a magical bag containing everybody's dream present!

even so, the town is in now in surprisingly good spirit. they’re all confident you will come back! don’t misunderstand the sentimentality, this message isn’t a plea, but a warning. everybody is getting ready to hunt down some lazy, festive venison!

we’ll see you toy day!

Dear Jingle,

I have moved my fossils to the beach so you no longer have to fear about the chance of stepping in a pitfall hole. My villagers & I have been good and have not left any pitfalls for guests for awhile now. Nor have any of them argued. I hope you’ll consider not putting any of my residents or myself on the naughty list this year.

I bring you this to your attention because we are aware that you are always watching, & assuming you know about the pitfalls, I want to appeal to you that none was done out of malicious intent. A friend of mine was feeling down a couple of months ago, so I thought a pitfall or two & a game of hide and seek could cheer her up.

If it is not too much to ask, would you consider introducing a game of snowball fights? There has been a mischievous friend who has on a few occasions whacked some of them with a net, which has made them quite anxious.I think a friendly competition between my villagers, myself & my friend would put them at ease.

Respectfully yours,Dunquixote of Skyhold

Dear Jingle,

I’m here to report for your naughty and nice list. Or really just for the naughty list… I have been paying attention to everything that has been going on here in Rainshine and these villagers have been nothing but trouble makers for me, the humble resident representative.

Erik won’t stop grossing me out and talking about bugs in the floor.
Tipper gave Vesta a hideous dress that she will not stop wearing.
Monty fell asleep in the middle of our conversation.
Axel gave me some sweaty gym socks as a “gift”.
Cookie is constantly singing and claiming to be a popstar (even during quite hours).
Kiki won’t stop stealing Peewee’s catchphrase!
And Marshal won’t stop picking fights in the plaza!

As you can see absolutely none of these villagers deserve any toys on toy day I’m afraid. Of course you can always forward all of their toys to me… I am ALWAYS good and you know I would never ever lie to you.

The always well behaved,
Deana

Dear Jingle,

I'm writing to you out of desperation. You're the only one who can help, our island is in crisis! This holiday seasons I am asking - no, begging - for you to bring us new DIYs. Day in and day out I visit the local villagers to see what they're up to and they're constantly making the same thing - do you know how many kettlebells Bam has made?! How many times can the bugs whisper how to make an apple hat?? Please, Jingle! Our island deserves to be so much more than an apple themed gym.

It doesn't matter what DIYs you bring us, just please, let them be new! The villagers here are master crafters, they just need a little direction from somebody other than the bugs. The bottles that wash up on shore are just as useless - how many log-mounted clocks does one island need? And don't even get me started on the boomerangs... If you can bring us some new DIYs I just know our island will be the best you've ever seen come next year. Jingle please, We need your help!

Rockwoods hopeful island representative,
Amy

Dearest Jingle,
As I was writing my christmas list this year, it occurred to me that you have no one to deliver your holiday present. It would be a bit disappointing to drop off your own gift after all. I would like to volunteer one of my villagers to do it for you.

Dom - Very dedicated and could easily jog to the North Pole for the delivery. However, the present might smell of sweat when you receive it.

Sherb - Has a good heart and loves making people happy, his bug friends aren't great with postage and packing though so we can't guarantee the gift will arrive safely...or at all.

Lucky - Will scare away any possible thieves *Cough* Redd *Cough* but may also scare you when he visits late at night.

Raymond - Will look amazing in the santa suit. There's a good chance that the fandom will go crazy over his new outfit though (like the maid dress)

If one of these animals brings joy to you on christmas, then that's my wish complete.

Happy Holidays
Holly (Representative of Faerie Island)

'Ello Jingle!

All of us at Mirage had a sneezy good time making this poem for you. Winter beset us after Turkey Day and upon asking everyone if they had mailed their letters to you yet, Tangy and I were the only ones who had. However, you may have noticed Tangy sent 28! Two for each of us islanders, and then she remembered she'd forgotten some things, so if your letters happen to smell like oranges, be careful when opening them...Because I rummaged the wrong pocket and accidently sent you my snack! I hope you like oranges.
Anyway, we've gently reminded all the other residents to send their wishes, and we're all looking forward to seeing you soon!

Thank you for all you do,
Island Rep Q~

Dear Jingle,

Toy Day is fast approaching, and I’m sure you’re busy preparing presents for all the animals on Amy Isle. While I don’t doubt your gift-giving abilities whatsoever, I do have one suggestion to make. Would you consider giving Mallary some new winter clothing? You see, I happened to give her a hula top sometime over the summer. She was thrilled, and she wore it all through the warm weather. Then summer became fall, and I noticed she was still wearing the top. Now winter is nearly upon us, and she has yet to change out of the top. At this point, I am seriously concerned for her well-being. Please, I beg you, find a sweater that Mallary will love just as much as her hula top. I am hoping such a sweater will prompt her to bundle up during the cold weather. Thank you for listening to my suggestion.

Sincerely,
Amy
Island Representative of Amy Isle

Dear Jingle,

I really need some help. I have been getting the island ready for your arrival. I've put out decorations, set up the trees (with Isabelle's help!), and even prepared gifts. Mistfall is looking quite festive with all the hard work!

However, that isn't what I need help with. It's Rudy. As I've been spreading the Toy Day cheer, I put on my best festive outfit, including a Festive Tree sweater. He came up to me and told me it was UGLY and not cool. Rudy? More like RUDE! It's the holidays and he needs some holiday cheer! I have done everything to get this island festive, and THIS is what I get it? From RUDY of all villagers? After all, he's THE MOST festive looking one with THAT RED NOSE. How could the most festive, not have festive cheer AT ALL? He's not the scrooge, not the grinch, he's RUDY!

Everyone's cheery but him, and I don't want him to be naughty this year. Can you give him some festive cheer so he can be himself again (and while your at it, tell him to NEVER call my sweater UGLY, EVER AGAIN!)?

Happy Toy Day,
Anthony from Mistfall.

Dear Mr. Jingle,

On behalf of Nook Enterprise, I would like to thank you for choosing Boondox Nara as your next destination this holiday season. We’re hoping that with your gracious donations the locals will finally experience the joy that toys can bring. Right now, the villagers find amusement in turning off the lamps on the island, sitting in the middle of pathways to block passersby, and chasing bugs in forever-unsuccessful attempts to catch them. The townsfolk are eagerly awaiting your arrival and have set up multicolored lights in the trees to help guide your descent, as well as day-old donuts to replenish your energy after the long flight. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Regards,

Doe
Nara Resident Representative

Dear Jingle,

I have always wondered, why do you come once a year? Since I live in the Southern Hemisphere, You seem to appear when it isn't snowing. Are you going to magically turn Christmas Eve into a "White Christmas"? I can't seem to make snowboys for you too see but do you want me to make 3 tier snowmen just to surprise you?

Jingle,
For Southern Hemisphere players, Maybe a cameo in a snowboy I make? It feels boring when you aren't around when I make snowboys, I really wonder if the snowboys I make would be happy to see you they never seem to say it in their dialogue but I think they would really like to see you!

Jingle, I can't wait to see you this Toy Day! You always seem to make me smile when you are around.

Seasons Greetings,
Oddie of Goblin.
