I think a really cute idea would be the ability to send letters to online friend and gifts! I would love that!
Also being able to decorate letters with pixel art would also be a feature I would look forward too.

You can already do the sending letters from a friend, yet only at their own town.

The decoration thing was mentioned in the Make Believe series of Animal Crossing, however.

Well, yeah. I don't know about Wild World and Population: Growing. But I know you can in City Folk and New Leaf.

And does recognizing our letters really matter? It's not like they recognize what we write already, except maybe when you use keywords, and then it's only the one word.

Well, yeah. I don't know about Wild World and Population: Growing. But I know you can in City Folk and New Leaf.

Well the GameCube game (Population: Growing! was just a slogan) didn't have any sort of Wi-Fi considering that didn't even exist then in Nintendo games back in the early 2000s. AFAIK, in Wild World, you had to go to the other player's town as well.

Being able to send them from your town to online friends would be a nice feature.

I like this idea. It shouldn't be a difficult feature to add. And if you don't want online mail you should just be able to choose so.

One change I'd like to see is actually fewer letters from the villagers. Might be an unpopular opinion but I honestly feel that getting two or three letters a day makes it feel less special. I usually just throw them away because I've read them a hundred times already.

I'm actually paranoid letters will be replaced with a cell phone with texting features in this game so if mailing is still a feature that would be nice.

Oh, that would stink. I kind of like how little technology is present in the game. It really encourages you to spend time outside in nature or nurturing relationships with your villagers. Writing them letters takes time and is charming, just like it is in real life. I hope they keep the letters instead of cell/texting features.
