Parfait was the same name I used for my town in Animal Crossing New Leaf and I've decided to use it again here on New Horizons!
Parfait is a frozen dessert and in French means 'perfect'.

These are my past villagers in my Animal Crossing New Leaf town and I still want them as my island residents here on New Horizons. I'm going to work towards getting them once I've made progress on my island.

While I definitely can't keep them, I'd like to experience having them on my island even for just a short while!

Spoiler: Old Parfait May 17-18

MAY 17-18, 2020

I got my pre-ordered switch last Friday, May 16th! I was supposed to claim it last March 13 but the entire country suddenly went on ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) and so I wasn't able to claim it immediately. I did wait a while to claim it though despite being incredibly jealous of everyone who was able to play on the release date but I'm so happy it's here now and it's absolutely beautiful!

I officially started playing yesterday, May 17 and went on a resetting spree of 10 hours just so I could get peaches as a native fruit, blue airport, and east outlet for my river. I did run into my ideal starting island layout a couple of times:

This one would have been perfect but it had cherries as the native fruit. I gave it some thought for a few minutes and was supposed to give in but I really wanted peaches. That resident services would have been in the perfect spot for me as well.



Eventually after countless (I decided not to keep count since that would demotivate me so much knowing how many times I've done it) resets I was able to find an island that fit all my qualifications! (finally lol)

I forgot to take a bunch of screenshots since I was too tired from resetting (although I haven't really lost my sanity yet) and was so into the game. My starting residents are Mira (she used to be a villager in my New Leaf town!) and Cobb.

I'm now on my second day! Blathers has set up his tent and oh let me tell you, I made a mistake plotting his tent down since my brother kept talking to me while I was looking for a spot and I accidentally accepted the area I was just supposed to be imagining where his tent would go. I'll have to edit that once I'm allowed to move the buildings.

I went on my first island tour (the free Nook miles ticket you get from Tom Nook) and found Candi there. I wasn't really satisfied with my first tour so I went and bought another ticket and found Caroline. In the end I never invited any of them though so I'm probably keep on doing mystery islands 'til I find someone I like.

Spoiler: Old Parfait May 19-24

MAY 19-24, 2020

I haven't been able to post for days since I've been suddenly busy working from home due to the whole corona virus situation. I've still been playing daily though. I'm trying to stop myself from playing first thing in the morning since my work starts at 8 am (although I log in at 9 am instead since I'm still in bed at 8 lol). But anyway here are a couple of updates!

I went on my third mystery island tour and found Tangy! The cat made of orange on an island with orange trees in it.

I was definitely delighted to find a peppy I liked and immediately invited her over to my island. Imo she looks a lot cuter now with the dress she's wearing and it definitely suits her.



It was the 4th day on my island and I open my switch to this:

Poor Gulliver. There was a storm going on in Parfait and he's cold and washed up on the beach.



The Museum and Nook's cranny has finally opened!

I had a friend over (for the first time! our first island visitor). He gave me bells, fruits and some flower seeds to help me get started.

I was able to pay off my first home loan. I also finished setting up the 3 plots for the future 3 villagers that were moving in to the island.

The next day, Leif was in the resident services plaza for the first time! I bought a bunch of flower seeds for breeding and bushes.

I also found Harvey wandering around and he invited me to come visit his island:

After doing my dalies a friend invited me over to come to her island because she had some extra DIY recipes. She also gave me clothes and a bunch of furniture from the cute set. She also came to my island I gave her a small tour since there isn't really much on my island yet. lol I took her to see who my current villagers were and she got a DIY recipe from Mira.

And lastly, here are the other two villagers who have just moved in to my island:

They were random ones since I didn't encounter any more villagers during my mystery island tours. Definitely not bad. It's going to be more fun since I'm now living with more villagers on the island. My resident services building and museum are currently under construction and will be open tomorrow so I'm really excited for that! Looking forward to playing tomorrow.



Also, it's gone by real fast but I've had my switch and my game for a week now! I traded with another player here on TBT the other night and bought a beret, bag and shoes so I can stop looking basic on all my screenshots. I know this has been a long ass post with a bunch of screenshots but I wanted to get this all in and look back at the progress I've made on my island. Spoiler: Old Parfait May 25-31

MAY 25-31, 2020

We've made more progress on our island. Our Resident Services tent is now a building and we finally have Isabelle! I'm a little excited to unlock the terraforming app since I want to fix a few things on my island (I'm looking at you rivers that wont let me build bridges).

Also, along with our Resident Services the Museum is upgraded to accommodate artworks from Redd.



I also built the campsite this week. I was so excited about seeing who my first camper would be. I read that the campsite mostly pushes villager personalities which you don't have yet. Based on the pic below I'm missing smug, snooty and cranky.

Surprise surprise I'm not particularly fond of him so I wasn't too happy. LOL I didn't invite him though because I thought he'd get replaced by a different camper the next day but ofc jokes on me because the next day he was still there.

Apparently you are forced to accept the first camper in your camp since no other camper will appear until you invite them AND I realized I wasn't seeing anymore new villagers on my mystery island tours so I quickly googled if the reason was cause I never invited Rodney over here and google confirmed. LOL so the next day he moved in.

BUT BUT BUT the Animal Crossing gods decided to bless me I decided to go on a mystery island tour that night to see if I'd get a snooty or a cranky for my island (I know it's totally random what you get on island tours but you never know).

I got to the mystery island and it wasn't the usual layout (like how you see the villager immediately) so I told my brother who was watching me play that "there's probably no one on this island". I used the ladder to climb onto the third layer of land and HOLY **** I WAS LITERALLY SCREAMED BECAUSE I FOUND

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
GOT MY ULTIMATE BABY USING ONLY 1 NOOK MILE TICKET!!!

Oh, also the Able Sisters opened that day too! LOL I was more excited over Flurry.

Lastly before this month ends, we have another adorable villager joining us in Parfait. I was looking for another villager again since it's the only tip Isabelle has been giving me for days now so I could finally invite K.K. Slider to my island. I'm not sure if I have to fill up all 10 slots but look who I found on my second mystery island tour

Not one of my dreamies but Zucker is on my passing by list so of course I immediately invited him over to Parfait!

Island update

Hi! So I restarted my island last June 28 for some reasons and was (finally) able to find a map with my requirements on July 1st (it took so long, I know ). I think my new map looks closely identical to my old one except for the peninsula shape and the dock length (I used to have a longer dock *wink wink* lol). I still have peaches and blue airport but now I have mums as my native flowers. Here's what my new map looks like:

As for Flurry and Marshal, I amiibo-ed them into my island since I just had to have them. Diana was from mystery island (only 8 NMT, tyl) after Ava left and I had an open plot.

I time traveled back to May 17th to re-start on my original start date but took me 2 and a half days of finding a map with my requirements and so on my 3rd day, I tried to time travel forward and start on May 18th instead and see what that date had to offer and that's when I found my chosen map! I turned airplane mode on so I don't get a force update yet for the all the diving and sea creatures.

So yeah, I'm currently on June 8 atm and slowly catching up to until July. It is kind of boring doing the wedding event all over again and then I still have bug off as well but I'll pull through. ​
