i've looked everywhere on-line, and any source that says the windmill gives more bugs, helps flowers breed, gets a greater population, whatever... or that the lighthouse increases the amount of fish anywhere in the town. i think it's just personal opinion which you like better to make your town look better, and i will continue to believe this until someone shows PROOF from a RELIABLE source (which means a link) to prove it otherwise.

personally, think i'm going to go for the lighthouse since i think it looks more in place near the ocean than a windmill, lol.
