I've had many people tell me it's been extremely helpful, and accurate, with only a few mistakes..

Just because that's been conducted by Nintendo, doesn't mean it's correct.. As well as that, not everyone who uses Animal Crossing Plaza is on TBT..

Unless you have been polling Animal Crossing fans for a month, with more than 20 000 answers, I highly doubt your methodology is all but approximative... It might have been useful as an estimate, but really, lots of the animals in your first tier are not even in the top 100 of Nintendo's poll.

I'm afraid your poll is all but a self-fulfilling prophecy, enticing players to look out for animals that were placed highly for no reason at all hence making them ''popular''.

lol this thread is actually extremely accurate, the one you posted isn't really that good...(#20 is Roald? I had Roald and he's not THAT great )

Well, that's solely your opinion isn't it..

Roald is #20 and he very often gets voided.. While Marshal and Julian are way underneath him and they get sold for millions..

Plus the fact is, this is a resource FOR TBT PEOPLE.
it is not being used as a valid basis for anyone to use, its in reference to here
that other poll has no Relevance to TBT, as population widely differs here, largely due to the fact, a lot of casual people dont even visit TBT, but would vote on that poll
If this thread was stating "THIS IS THE BE ALL AND END ALL FOR ALL AC PLAYERS" you would have a point, but its not so stop trashing the thread, and instead perhaps post the poll and information to more casual people not TBT users, who will find this helpful as it will give them an indication of popularity on this forum alone.
Otherwise, dellusioned people will look on that poll and then think they can sell for instance Roald for millions eventhough on this forum he is not that popular
so quit it.

Providing players with a clear question and having scientifically verifiable quantities of answers, usually around 1200 votes. This poll had more than 20 000 votes.

That Marshal is selling for millions on this forum doesn't make it any less true, it just makes TBT a Marshal fan club.

I'm sick of this argument.. I don't care that this list isn't official.. It's helped people all over this forum, and even on Reddit.. Who cares if it's not compiled by Nintendo and isn't official.. People have found it useful enough for it to be stickied and people have praised me for it.

It's helping people, and that's what it's here for. And that's all that matters.

Ohey guys, so here is a list of the villagers in Animal Crossing: New Leaf based on their popularity.

HOWEVER. Do note that this list is compiled from personal opinion and what I have witnessed since mid-August. Do NOT expect this list to be 100% accurate at all times.

Also, do not think that because a villager is at the top of the list, that you can't trade them for a villager that's towards the bottom. When trading, make trades that you feel suit you!

This list is simply to give you an idea of where a villager is in terms of current popularity.

The first three tiers will have villagers in order of popularity, while tiers four and five will have the villagers in alphabetical order.

Please note: This thread has been based on TBT popularity.. Tumblr and Reddit popularity is very different to popularity here.

It's not my list. It's the results of Nintendo's worldwide poll in december 2013.

Did you freaking read the bold on the front page? THIS IS BASED ON TBT POPULARITY, and what your saying IS bs

This list isn't according JUST to Hound00med. Pretty much everyone on this forum would agree that Marshal is the most popular, Julian and Stitches following up, along with all the deer and cranky wolves. xD

with that said enough arguing guys, come on. They're pixels.

Some updates for you guys..

Marina has dropped from 4th in Tier One, to 6th.

Whitney and Julian have swapped places, with Julian now being 8th in Tier One, and Whitney being 9th in Tier One.

Erik and Skye have swapped places, with Erik now being 16th in Tier One, and Skye being 1st in Tier Two.

Zell and O'Hare have swapped places, with Zell now being 14th in Tier Two, and O'Hare being 17th in Tier Two.

Mira has jumped up from 25th in Tier Two, to 18th in Tier Two.

Maple has jumped up from 2nd in Tier Three, to 25th in Tier Two.

Francine has dropped from 27th in Tier Two, to 2nd in Tier Three.

Poppy has jumped up from 9th in Tier Three, to 4th in Tier Three.

So quite a few updates, hehe..

Again, feel free to let me know if I should make any changes, but you must give me valid reasoning
