Hey everyone, I finally have my island in a spot where I'd like to share it. Please let me know what you think! I've been working on it since launch so I hope you will enjoy it. Everything is easily accessible without tools.

Is there a specific theme or look that you are aiming for? This might help some people write a review.

I just went with a small town vibe but with a kind of mystical forest on the outskirts that leads to ancient ruins up in the hills/mountains. Played with perspective a bit too make it look like you're high up on the mountain looking down near the top of my island.

I just finished checking out your island and I love it!

The town road payments were organized, easy to navigate; yet you added personality by creating little areas here and there. In particular, I loved the entrance to the zen area, the layered light house and park. The park reminded me a bit of Central Park (even though I’ve never been there.)

I also liked how you separated the town from the forested area. If you want to create a more mystical look, maybe incorporate some bug models, gyroids, gnomes, or fake ancient statues. I think that they will complement the glowing moss and mushroom furniture well. But this is just an idea, feel free to ignore.

The island in the middle does feel a bit empty though. Maybe replace the Ruined pillars with something taller like a Ruined Arch; or maybe you can add another layer to that. Again, feel free to ignore.

I hope that this helps!

If you want, I can try to give you feedback on your island. Fair warning, I'm not very design-oriented, and stuff on my own island was pretty much put wherever there was room so I'm not sure how much my feedback would be worth.
Go for it!

Just updated my island for fall, so please take a look!

My dream address is in the main post up above, feel free to visit whenever.
It took some experimentation, but I finally figured out how to visit another island's dream address.

First off, I'm impressed by your attention to detail. I have no idea how you did that design in the sand, and it never would have occurred to me to drop seaweed on my beaches so that it looked like the seaweed washed ashore. Everyone seems to have yards and items in their yards that reflects their interests, and your paved stone pathways are beautiful.

There's one section of raised land that feels a bit too busy to me. I think you're trying to go for a magical abandoned area, but the piles of leaves don't feel like they match with the paved areas to me. All of the paved areas are clear except for a single pile of leaves each while the unpaved areas are overgrown with weeds and moss. I suggest either getting rid of the paved areas or adding a lot more piles of leaves. I'm not sure that the sword in the map matches with the rest either. I think the sword would work better if there were no paved areas.

It might be a good idea to add more ways to travel to the different sections of your island too. I'm pretty sure I missed some parts because I couldn't figure out how to get over there. Though that might be intentional if you're trying to convey the sensation of someone getting lost on your island.

Thanks for the feedback!

I added the various patches of leaves in town to mimic the villagers trying to tidy up the paths for the end of the season straggler leaves, however I understand what you're saying about the area with the pool and sword.

I'm also curious as to where you were having trouble getting around, all sections of the island have paths leading to them and ramps/ladders/vines to gain access to the higher levels.

I think it was mainly the upper left quadrant of the island that I had trouble reaching. I kept backtracking and going down different paths, but I could see areas that I couldn't reach. Eventually, I just gave up on getting to those areas.
