Looking for tips on how to catch Scorpions

When I try to catch a scorpion it always stings me. I have tried sneaking up on it but it turns around and stings me. Does anyone have any tips to catching Scorpions.

Equip a net when you see one and sneak up to it. When it notices you and shakes its tail in warning you have a second or two to keep moving towards it, but then you have to stay still until it stops shaking its tail. Keep repeating this process until you’re close enough to catch it! The key to catching it is to take breaks in between and not constantly be on the move or it will sting you. Good luck!

That is correct, when you see it approach very slowly and it will shake its tail and raise its pinchers. When it does that FREEZE. a few seconds later it will quite shaking and lower its pinchers. Take a couple of steps and it will raise and shake again. Continue this process until you are close enough to catch it, then you have one shot. This process is identical for catching the tarantula also. It is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. Good luck.

What I usually do is dig holes around me and then I go up to the Scorpion and then I run back as fast as I can as its chasing me. Then I jump over the holes that I dug around so the Scorpion has a hard time catching me, but I can catch it easily with my net. That's how I was able to do it when I got to that rare Nook Mile Island that was full of Scorpions, which can only be found during night time on rare occasions.
