Mafia ???? Mafia - Town Wins

That's...kinda the objective of the game and it's No-PM I'm assuming so yeah, not a straightforward answer: what do you mean by 'we got to wait til assassin scumreads her?'

Well everyone but one person knows who the kingpin is. That person is the assassin. It's possible the assassin could scumread or call the kingpin scum without knowing that person is the kingpin. Why would the people who know the kingpin is, scum read them?

Nevermind, they could scum read them to protect the kingpin.

Making it impossible to figure out who the assassin is.

but then the assassin knows who the kingpin is and they will win.... please read the rules. The assassin gets to kill someone when they are lynched, if they pick the kingpin then they win

This game is all about figuring who is the assassin, without letting the assassin know who the kingpin is. So if you think someone is the assassin, its best not to say exactly why

I believe there are no night turns, so were just lynching people until the assassin gets lynched.

Hey man, you don't have to be rude about it. I read the rules already so please cut the sass. It was 8am and was trying to catch up.

If we RNG
4/6 its a guard
1/6 its kingpin
1/6 its assassin

If we just randomly pick someone, odds are its a guard... if we put no backing into it, on the next go around we have no idea who to vote next, no evidence to go off of, and the assassin increases its chance of winning. We have a dead a guard and thats it.

If we just actually play this game, some of us will have a better chance of maybe trying to figure it out, or at least a more educated guess at who actually is the assassin. I already know one person I don't want to vote for (besides kingpin) and so any other votes would just blow up that person's spot. Also if its an RNG and it ends on someone we don't want to kill... then what was the point anyway. Also its just stupid and lazy...

I would really just like to see a quick blurb about who we would all like to vote for

I doubt we could get a solid guess on who the assassin is during the first day phase. Dolby, are we required to vote and could we vote no lynch? If we have to vote for someone, then it's most likely would be someone that we have a lack of evidence on. Yes, if we vote off someone and they are guard then it would increase the assassin chance of winning BUT it would also increase the guards/kingpin chance of finding out who the assassin in. If we did vote off someone, it would bring the chances of both sides from 20% (1/5 not including assassin or kingpin) to 25% (1/4 not including assassin or kingpin) of them finding out who is the assassin or kingpin. 25% is still low odds imo.

Antonio, who do you suspect?

No one yet. Still early.

Nevermind, just reread the rules. Forget my question, dolby.

this was just a lot of words for saying that each side gets a better shot at finding who they need to when people die... which is obvious
looked like posting a lot to look helpful, but eh... i honestly don't think its your style to do stuff like that.
I'm more interested to see who you think is scum in this game though with everything, rather than just trying to explain game mechanics

and I'm directly honest about things I see, and it comes across blunt alot of the time... don't take it as rude because i still love all of you

Making it impossible to figure out who the assassin is.

your top statement is true... those who know the kingpin shouldn't actively avoid them, otherwise when the assassin gets lynched they will automatically know who to revenge kill

?
Antonio, if EoD was 2 pm EST (8 minutes) and you could not vote No Lynch, who would you vote?

No one, dolby says i can vote every other day.

True but the people don't have to act so suddenly.

It's fine man and you are right, i'm just saying game mechanics but it's not just that, i'm just pointing out the odds don't change much if we do lynch someone one and the odds effect both sides, not just the assassin.

At the moment, I think scum could be You or Vanessa (due to lack of activity) atm but I'm choosing not to vote this time around because I want to wait and see what else happens. It's still to early and I don't want to act to suddenly without something close to solid, ya know?

IF YOU HAD TO VOTE, WHO WOULD YOU VOTE.

Yikes.

- - - Post Merge - - -

Ahh, the grammar.

- - - Post Merge - - -

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

For me, it doesn't matter who gets lynched the first few times. what matters most are the final three. the less we talk and speculate, the more random we vote, the more we make it confusing for assasin to figure who is who.

Eventually, four of us might have to be lynched anyway to determine the win. or if we get the assasin great, for me I am gonna talk less because the more I talk the more I might slip and give the kingpin away.

- - - Post Merge - - -

I meant final three.

It is okay to random the first two lynches, but its the final four or final three that will be crucial, and at that point, assasin should be thoroughly confused and doesn't have a clear cut choice for kingpin

- - - Post Merge - - -

But to explain my strategy:

I chose the voting based off sign up from last to first so that assasin will have no idea who I am and who I am not trying to vote. It is much more streamlined without me giving away any sign of who I am intentionally not trying to vote off based on him/her being kingpin.

So I could be voting for Dad now and he might be the kingpin. who knows?

Do it to anyone else, I think it's worth keeping me around that I'm not suggesting something stipid

This statement doesn't set right with me. I have never seen anyone that was town imply that they should be kept around...

It also feels like you joined the Dad train (after Bianca and Punchy), agreeing with the stuff they have said:

However I am in agreeance that Dad seems to be missing the mark....

##Vote Dad

I don't think dad is it. Both Bianca's and Punchy don't have valid reasons to Lynch Dad (Punchy because of "downplaying" and Bianca because of the position he joined) so how could you agree with the reasons if they ain't proper reasons. I know I'm missing something ugh

- - - Post Merge - - -

I read that wrong but I don't see the agreeance for dad's actions from other users, besides your statement.

Why is Vanessa still lurking

I haven't seen her. How do you know she's been lurking?

I think I'm strong-willed enough to not "follow" along with Bianca and punchy, if my track record shows. I think dad seems to be "missing something" if you catch my drift. So I think he is assassin for my own reasons

In other words.... I know what I'm getting into with punchy and Bianca, and wouldn't just agree with logic I've openly already criticized. I may not be able to understand their thought process, but I agree that dad is weird

Oh no why are there lots of posts

Why is Vanessa still lurking

I'm pretty sure I wasn't on this thread all day I was at work

I'm getting town vibes from Toads, Bianca and Antonio in that order. By "vibes" I mean tone-wise in comparison to other games. So by default I'm leaning towards Dad or Punchy as the assassin.

And to answer your earlier question Dad, I think the best strategy is to just vote off whoever is acting suspicious without giving out information that could help the assassin. So like, imo don't put too much effort into explaining your townreads people. It could give stuff away.

I mean there is definitely stuff to look for in a set up like this... I just think dad is casually avoiding some of the clues
