Bought about a million bells worth of turnips again. Come on, let's get off of the random train. Give me a spike!

Today was mostly spent trading, since it was the last day of my free trial for online. It was super productive. In fact, the whole week was. I personally don't care about the forum collectibles and I had several thousand TBT. That combined with some fair trades and tips for free services got me visits in 4 different catalog islands, a bunch of Nook Miles furniture alternate colors, all of the fruits, 3 million IGB, a LOT of DIY recipes, some Celeste and Saharah visits, some shopping visits at others' Nooks/Ables, a lot of NMTs for future island hopping, and misc other items. I'm extremely satisfied. I will probably end up paying for an online subscription at some point, but I got so many things. I'd rather go back to collecting stuff on my own and going back to a slower pace of AC life. I will probably pay for a subscription when there gets to be more things that I want that I can't get on my own.

YAY! I am on a small spike pattern! I've been waiting weeks to get off of the random pattern!

Redd has 2 legitimate art and 2 fakes again. Having 2 characters on my island, we bought both real ones. Redd also had a lawn mower color I didn't have.

I spent a lot of time organizing my flowers that are outside of what I call "Hybrid Test Zone". The regular flowers were going crazy. I blame the fact that it has been raining most of the month so far in-game. Rain seems to make more flowers spawn the next day than regular watering. I had way too many and got rid of most of them. There's still a little more I need to do, so going to finish that up on Tuesday in-gamem.

According to Turnip Prophet (which I've found to be incredibly accurate), my island's high price for the week is tomorrow morning. So I decided to hold even though 162 is pretty good.

I finished my flower organization project. Outside of my Hybrid Test Zone, I have kept at max 5 of each flower. I don't really know what I want to do with them. I'm actually considering paring down some more, at least for the regular buyable from seed flowers anyway. I don't know.

In 2 more days all of the villager houses will finally have finished their move into the new Residential District. I forgot to mention it yesterday, but I also started initial ideas for a cafe. I don't know where I'll put it quite yet, but I'm starting to get together the furniture and materials for it, and have put some of the pieces in a temporary spot.

Turnip Prophet indeed promised well - my morning price was higher than yesterday's prices. I sold at 187/turnip and was quite happy with that.

I haven't done more with my cafe because I'm waiting for items to come in. This 5 items per day restriction from the catalog drives me crazy. But I did a lot more work for the park area south of the Shopping District. I made a little Celeste-themed astronomy/stargazing spot right next to the museum and placed some other furniture around. My island is looking better and better every day. It's exciting to see it evolve.

I posted my update last night and then ended up playing again so I'll just put it here: I really was sick of not getting rosalia batesi beetle spawns on my island, so I went to a NMT island and chopped down all the trees to stumps, forcing more stump bug spawns. I got one! I also went ahead and dug up everything after that to try to get a scorpion. The first 2 scorpions stung me, but I caught the 3rd one. I didn't catch any extras to sell because it took a long time to just get the 1 scorpion and it was getting late.

I didn't do too much on my island today other than my dailies. I did place a few pieces of furniture outside that I'd ordered from the catalog or built via DIY, but that was it.

Visitors: Saharah, Celeste (meteor shower!)

Huzzah, a meteor shower AND Celeste! I was especially happy because she was wandering around by my astronomy spot that I set up by the museum the other day. I know it's coincidence, but I like to think that the astronomy spot made her show up.

I started on a new major terraforming project. I always wanted to move the museum (and, of course, the astronomy spot will go too) and I have started setting up the area for it. I haven't actually put in the order to move the building yet because I still need to finish up the terraforming. The idea is I'm trying to make an area inspired by the real Fushimi-Inari shrine in Kyoto, Japan. The museum will represent the shrine's main building. I need to build inclines, grow bamboo, and do lots of other things.

Lopez asked to move today, so I guess I get to go island hopping in a few days.

Visitors: KK Slider, Rasher at campsite

Rasher's a cranky, but no interest in him. Lopez was also in boxes and I think I've heard something about people having bugs when they invite a camper the same time someone's moving out? I dunno, not worth trying it for someone I don't want.

Continued a bit more for my major terraforming project I mentioned on the Friday update. I also did a lot more decorating for the park and residential areas, as well as made a few other areas.

I think this is the cheapest turnip buying price I've had so far!

I went island hopping since Lopez moved out. I found Avery and decided to invite him. Finally, a cranky! I need to get a smug again though since Lopez is gone. Hopefully Whitney or Poppy ask to move next.

So for my major terraforming project, the next step actually involved moving the campsite. It was simply in my way. I decided to put the campsite by the secret/Redd's beach. It looks really nice! Looking forward to more terraforming soon.

Played again at night and Wisp was around. His spirit pieces are a pain to track down while my island is under construction and there's weird stuff going on. Wisp himself was floating around my residential area though, which was funny. It looked like he was haunting it.

Updating earlier than usual because I don't plan to play much today.

I have about a 60% chance of being on a large spike week. I hope I am. I've never had a large spike yet.

Some interesting things that happened: I finally got a villager's picture! I got one from Piper! I also put in an order to demolish a bridge so I can continue terraforming. That bridge had the same problem as the campsite - it was simply in the way. I also intentionally built the cheapest possible bridges just to give basic movement around. I don't want to keep the log bridges, especially because it doesn't fit the aesthetic as much. International Museum Day's stamp rally was fun. Sure, it was short, but it was cute. I also really enjoy walking through the museum. The museum is my favorite building in this game so far.

My chances are now about 50/50 for large spike or constant decreasing. Argh. Just gotta keep waiting a bit longer to see.

I was surprised to get Wisp again. I just had him 2 days ago. I don't normally see him again quite that soon. But hey, the more often I see him, the sooner those Nook Miles achievements get done.

I didn't do too much today other than the dailies. Husband has continued some more terraforming though. I'm hoping we can get things figured out enough that we can move the museum later this week. I'm excited about this project and I want to see more progress!

OMG I'm on the large spike turnip pattern! It'll hit its high price tomorrow PM. I'm so curious to see how high it'll be!

I have CJ making me an oarfish model. Looking forward to it. I think the oarfish is really neat.

Did a LOT of work on the island today. Made a fruit tree orchard, a separate money tree orchard, and now have even more space available for the big terraforming project in the middle of the island.

I was disappointed with my large spike price. I was hoping for one over 400. But this still gave me a great profit. I paid off my last house loan and still have a lot of bells in savings.

Celeste visited but there wasn't much shooting stars in the sky. I did get her AND a meteor shower on the 15th though, so I was surprised to see her again so soon as it was.

Tons more terraforming, and as a result got to hear the midnight song (is my bed time) for the first time. Oops!

Leif actually had new bushes for the first time in a while - tea olives. By the way, I find tea olives in Animal Crossing weird. I have tea olives in my real life backyard and they are not tiny little shrubs like this. They can grow 6ft or even a lot more in both height and width, depending on the variety.

I didn't do much in the game on Friday because I had to do a lot of things in the real world. Actually made me forget to do this update yesterday. Oops.

Worked on a bunch more terraforming today. The coolest new thing is figuring out where the river was going. One of my river mouths exits to the east and I had to change up the river a lot thanks to all of the terraforming work. Built a river that flows through a canyon, but with just enough space on one side to walk along it for fishing reasons. It looks really good!

I have about a 50% chance of being on a random week thanks to that large spike, so I'm not really expecting much this time.

Still more terraforming work getting done. I officially put in the order to move the museum though, so that's exciting.

I love your journal, just so real! For the people whoʻve played since the very beginning, I love to find those who are here for the pure enjoyment <3 your town and character name drew me in. Are you from Hawaiʻi?

Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm not from Hawaii originally, but I did live there for a few years. I really miss it. It's a beautiful place, I love the weather, and the lifestyle there is so laidback. The only downside is it's an expensive place to live.

Behind again. Keep being busy in real life.

Turnip Selling Price: 119am (SOLD)/??

I got the random pattern, as expected. It's best to sell right away for random patterns so I did.

I was happy Flick showed up. I had about 250k worth of rare butterflies sitting in my storage. I also had him make me a centipede. (Spoiler alert: Turns out it's big and kinda creepy looking!)

That's about it. Like I said above, I was busy and didn't do much other than the daily chores.

Tuesday May 26
Visitors: Leif, Leopold in campsite

Leopold's not bad, but I'm holding out hope to make a certain smug (ie Raymond) show up eventually. :) Leif didn't have anything new again today. I did even less on my island today. I hope to get more playtime in later this week.
