Speaking of ads just wanted to say that I appreciate the new network! With the previous one, I always get ads that use AI generated imagery so I much prefer what we have now.

As people have been reporting bugs, I was browsing the forums a moment ago and noticed that the distance between the taskbar up top and the top of the threads seems farther apart than before? Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me and it was always this way, but I just figured I'd mention it in case I'm not just talking nonsense, if anyone else can verify. I don't have any screenshots from before the maintenance to compare. So yeah, if I'm just out of it, disregard this, lol.

That's part of the new ad testing that Jeremy mentioned in the first post and where an ad would load in that spot. If you're seeing the empty space, then the ad is being hidden with software on your device. If you'd like to help support TBT, whitelisting the site would be appreciated, but you're certainly under no obligation to do so. Also, none of these ad placements are considered set in stone yet, so it may end moved out of that spot later to somewhere else.

I tend to adblock everywhere just out of habit, but I think I will whitelist the forums.

Thank you for the new software updates staff! I'm happy about the automatic image resizing thing and I'm excited to see what we are capable of doing in the future if we can receive more funding for the site from ad revenue.

Oh that's weird then because my phone doesn't block ads but it's still blank?

Edit: They're showing up now after I woke up. Really weird behavior.

To be honest the basket looked bad. I know it's been "fixed" but does that mean the change was an accident? Did it used to be the basket and was accidentally changed back? Or was it an intentional change that was later reverted? (I thought that at first but the use of the word "fixed" made me start to think otherwise)

I think it's the generic icon used for the XenForo layout.

I have to be honest. I really don’t like the large ad block at the very top of every page. It feels so distracting.

I personally block ads on every single site because they’re an anxiety trigger for me in general, and I’ve got some rather strong opinions in regards to how some agencies like to track browsing habits and sell information without consent. My privacy is rather important to me.

Please don’t think that I’m not wanting to support TBT; I really like it here. While I wouldn’t mind putting it on my ad blocker whitelist under normal circumstances, my ASD and OCD simply cannot handle some ads well.

I am using an iPhone. I don’t mind the ads if they aren’t in such huge boxes where it is easy to accidentally click on them. I don’t like how big the ad block at the top of every page is.

I’ll admit to using an ad blocker, but I do make sure to donate via Ko-fi every once in a while. I gotta support TBT somehow considering I really appreciate all that the mods and admins do here.

Though not using an ad blocker is a good free way to support TBT too.
