I've seen other posts about others wanting villagers from other players islands. How exactly does that work?

Marshall is currently moving onto my Island today and will be moved Iin tomorrow. Currently unpacking boxes in the home. Is it to late or is there some way of moving him out?

Honestly, I dont know :/ not too sure myself but I think I need an open space in my town and Marshal has to be in boxes but moving out not in. Since he's moving in your town, you'd have to move him out either by amiibo or waiting until he's thinking and brings up moving out.

I haven't adopted a villager from another island before, this is just how I assume it works maybe?

That is... exactly how it works, yes. He needs to request to move out, be in boxes, then you travel to the island and speak to him until he agrees to go to your island.

Certainly do not wait on me if someone else offers up marshal.

I need to educate myself on some things, like who the villagers are, what is considered appropriate for villager transactions, and how soon can I get a villager off my Island. I'll reach out and touch base with you either through this thread or DM and with what I decide. (I even have to educate myself on forum basics as I rarely ever use them). I expect a few days, but I'll check in on this thread at least once a day regularly.
