Being able to venture out to other Islands and meet new Animals there was one of my highlights from the Direct.
Just imagine the potential that offers for people hoping to move in Dreamies:

Instead of having to wait passively for one to show up in town, you can take action and try to find them yourself!

Seems like a great balance between waiting and scanning in amiibo?not as frustrating as the waiting, but also not as simplified as using the cards.
This option provides some challenge/anticipation, and I know I'll be crossing my fingers to run into one of my favorites every time I go exploring!

Are you hoping to invite some favorites this way, or maybe getting to know Animals you hadn't considered before? How does it compare to the other ways of gaining villagers?

I love this feature! It provides a challenge as it definitely won't be easy to find a specific villager, but not impossible nonetheless. Makes cycling villagers so much easier too c:

I love this. I only plan on using one amiibo card and that is Beau. I just bought his card. So I love that you can meet new villagers.

I have the amiibo cards for who I want.

I do too, but when I scanned them all into my NL town I noticed that the experience just wasn't the same for me. It felt a bit undeserved, and like I couldn't connect with them like I had with ones who moved in naturally.

That doesn't mean I'm against using cards though—I'll just add my own limitations to it, like only getting 1/3 of my villagers that way, or having to wait several weeks/months between scans.

I'm more than likely going to use Nook Miles Tickets as my main method of inviting villagers to my island. If I like the villager, I'll invite them. I'm not going to be super picky about my villagers until much, much later on.

yeah it looks fun to meet villagers that way. i'm only going to scan in one amiibo villager in the beginning and leave the rest up to the deserted island or random move-ins. i'll leave them come and go

No. I do not like that both PC and NH have TICKETS!

Pocket camp you could buy them. New horizons they work exactly how the meow coupons worked...they are just called tickets..

Don't forget the microtransactions/offer for PC and NH.

Nobody seems to care.

I'm worried it's an ongoing thing.

They have said nothing about micro-transactions. It won't be in a main game. Sure there might be DLC but that is not micro-transactions. And even that hasn't been confirmed.

I like that there's someone on the tour island with you. I remember how lonely it felt being alone at night on the island when looking for beetles in NL.

Tbh I just like everything about this game

Edit: with the "tickets" thing it's just a more fleshed-out version of MEOW coupons from NL. There were raffle tickets in ACGC even though they were used for something completely different, they were still there before.

I hear you, the idea of microtransactions in NH is upsetting, and I understand the concern. However, I'm just going to be optimistic for now that there won't be any.

The offer between PC and NH is not what you're assuming, I believe. Until I hear more, all I think it means is that you can get a few extra items if you've been playing PC (and specifically, items that relate directly to PC: like attire or decorations connected to the campsite, with logos or RV's on them)

This is something I'm excited about too!!! I wonder if the villagers we find on the islands will be fully random or if there will be a higher RNG rate at night or during certain seasons for specific villagers. (for example maybe kiki is more likely to spawn in the fall and cherry likes to go out at night!)
