Meteor Shower!

I had my very first meteor shower today. The shooting stars are so pretty! They make a sparkling chime when they fall, so it's easy not to miss them. I ended up spending quite a bit of time watching them dash across the night sky.

I've read that when you wish upon them you receive a letter and a rare piece of mail from someone named 'Wishy.' I can't wait to see what I get from Wishy tomorrow!

Have any of you seen a shower yet? What did Wishy send you the next day?

Lucky! I have yet to see them, but I have been questing the number lamps from wishy. - I got 2 and 3 from streetpassing people who had wished upon wishy.

Oh! Is that where you get the numbered lamps? I was hoping the item(s) would be exclusive to the star-wishing.

What do you mean by "wishing" upon the stars? Is there something specific I have to do besides just watch them. My first shower is tonight as well.

There are no exclusive Wishy items. The number lamps are Spotlight items. Wishy gives out Spotlight items for free.
In case you don't know what Spotlight items are, they are items that rarely appear in Nooklings Shop.

Just tap "A" while you are holding nothing when you hear the ding sound of a shooting star.

Press up to look at the sky. As soon as a star begins to fall, press A. If you timed it right, you'll hear a chime and your character will put their hands together and make a wish.

Oh yeah on my 3rd night with the game I think, I had a meteor shower. So many screenshots were taken that night! And of course, I got my rare item from Wishy.
