What the hell is this?
An essay explaining how Miiverse went terribly wrong. Normally this would cover about 3 pages, but I will keep the paragraphs and flavor text brief.

If you love Miiverse and you hate me for writing this, then get out of my blog. I don't have time for hate comments.

"Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only by achieved from understanding." Well, Mr. Einstein, I think you didn't consider Miiverse when you said this back in the day. But before I get into my little rant, let me clear something up. This is not a rant saying that Nintendo needs to close down Miiverse or that I think they should run it differently. It is an argumentative essay that is simply saying what problems need to be fixed if Miiverse should keep running. But seriously, it's utterly ridiculous how bad it's come to on Miiverse. Admins are strict and rude, but they don't even bother to try and stop all the trolls on Miiverse. Little kids are taking over who can't handle some simple rules. Miiverse was a great idea, it really was. But Nintendo didn't consider how it could be exploited and used in a different way. The rules it has are also heavily enforced, but some are extremely dumb that show just how desperate Nintendo is to keep children "safe".

So, admins are strict and rude. You'll probably saying that they have to be in order to keep peace. Yeah, well, no peace is present in Miiverse. It has been overrun by little kids who don't know what the word "behave" means. The admins clearly do not notice people obviously breaking rules or they're just too lazy to actually ban them. But for the people who break the littlest rule, like sharing a dream code or using words like hate and jerk, they go all-out Ban Hammer happy. I remember, back when Miiverse first started, I got warned for sharing my friend code. What is the purpose behind Miiverse? I thought it was to connect with others and find people to play with. Apparently I was wrong. It's probably only for discussing and sharing what you're doing, which in itself is barely doable since you can't hold private, real-time conversations with anybody. It's just posting to a huge list and then exiting. Bleh.

Not only are the admins strict, rude, and let's add immature to the list, but the amount of morons and trolls on are just... wow. The number blew my mind. You see, when Miiverse started, there were few trolls in the ACNL category and really anywhere else for that matter. But now it's completely overrun with kids that obviously pay no attention to what they are doing and the people in charge let it pass most of the time. Um, excuse me? Little kids are allowed to berate older kids and they can't do the same? Honestly, Nintendo. Just stop. Take a step back and cool down. Close down Miiverse for a bit and just review the situation, then go back when you can handle it. You're clearly not going to handle it anytime soon unless we get a riot going.

So trolls and stupid admins. That doesn't account for all the kids though. Some are just plain stupid. It's obvious they either don't know what they're saying or they're 5 years old and their parents didn't set Parental Controls. I've seen some stupid people out there and I can't believe how dumb they can get. But Miiverse needs to be modified in how it's moderated. I know I said I wouldn't say Miiverse needs to be run differently, but if kids are acting like this, then nobody's doing their job. Get stronger mods and people who know that kids aren't supposed to be on something like Miiverse at all. Parents take away electronics for being on Facebook when you're not 13? It probably does sound unfair. But these kids are our future, and if something doesn't change, we won't have a future to be proud of.

I know some of you are going to be raging, and raging hard. After all, every rant gets some hate. It's a part of life. You'll be saying the norm, that it is Nintendo's thing and they can do what they want with it. But then I'll say that Nintendo clearly wants it to be a place for trolling and stupid people, and it's difficult to even use the app since you can't share anything "personal" about yourself. When Nintendo is banning the use of their own system (Friend Codes) in their own app, then something's wrong. But if it was well-moderated and there were more options on it so it could be used for different things, then maybe more people would think about using it. But that's not happening.

I'm done with this rant. I'm not happy with Miiverse in any way. You can't post anything personal, so goodbye to finding others to play with. It's being overrun with little kids that the admins don't seem to care about. Goodbye to your sanity after using it. I've seen so many better things that allow you share more and find real friends. Miiverse is literally a shell of what could be great. You can post a sentence or two to a huge list of people, comment on others posts and like stuff. That's about it. Miiverse could've been a huge thing with forums and friend codes, but it's not going to happen if Nintendo can't see how badly it's going. So yeah. Saying it again, no hate comments because I'm not interested. I'm really not.

Miiverse is like Obamacare. Both are broken systems, have people abusing them, strict laws/rules that are unnecessary, and have evoked so much controversy.

It's that time of the year, isn't it? But really, Miiverse has gotten a lot worse over the course of the year.

Yes. Nintendo needs to get new mods or let some of there rules leave. Iy's so strict.

And I got a Facebook account at age five...
