Mafia Monster's Ball Mafia [Game Thread - Endgame, Town Wins!]]

Plz I am innocint I have coot grammer

Kidding, I’m here for the experience. It’s honestly kind of lonely with just four people, and I doubt all three rooms will get the right person, and this room is going way slower than the last. We have like an hour less than them. Let’s make this time count. We need to make progress.
This does feel slow istg-

Guys we only have a few hours left!

I’m gonna keep my vote on sheep. Feel free to sus me for it but tbh I don’t trust them. Let’s hope there aren’t any nks until the big game because that could kill town very easily. I doubt geoni would give mafia that much power. Tessa and caffline have been… less sus? The only sus I have is sheep. If I do get voted out, I’ll be cheering the town on from my graveyard chat, which I kinda don’t want because I won’t get to play with my brother.

Sheep is my last sus because shouldn’t they have explained that their push vote WAS a push vote?

I'm up and at it again, hello.

My gut says b100ming’s quick defence of me and vote for you means something - maybe as your say, to throw the suspicion on someone else. I don’t have any feelings either way for Tessa, still trying to feeling things out.
I am not sure, I’m confused as well. I am just saying you and Sheep both had a stance early on that swayed me.

My vote right now is tessa, but that’s just because I’m so unsure about you and Sheep.

Would be interested to hear what exactly your thought process was during this gap? I don't quite follow what happened just off of these two posts. Even if you feel your process was silly or didn't make sense could you open it up a bit more because this isn't really a good look. I'm not having a good time finding you as town nor wolf right now and I'd like to have more to go off of before the final few hours.

Also was the switch on to Tessa a process of elimination type of deal or...?

Why did you sway your opinion so quickly and easily? I'm slightly confused about the vote against me and it feels like hopping straight on to a bandwagon.

I really don't wanna be super defensive in this game but I feel like we need to be really careful on our eliminations. this game isnt revealing roles at death, so fellow town members please plead your case.

I'm not sure what pleading your case means in this context (language barrier??) but if you want me to open up a bit more about my thoughts about you in particular I can do that?

Just the fact that you voted out of the blue without an explanation felt slightly like you were trying to push a vote. However I was waiting for some answers from you about that and you weren't active so it didn't bother me too much.

^ Mostly it was this statement that rubbed me the wrong way if I'm being honest. I feel like you saying my first vote was slightly sus is you tacking that slight sus part on just for the sake of it, not wanting to commit to things one way or another. I cannot imagine a world where someone voting another person who hasn't even shown up is pushing a vote. I would've had an easier time trying to get us to vote off a rock at that point.

I actually had another post from you quoted in my backlog but I guess I must've been more tired than I thought yesterday as I was unable to even find what was originally bothering me about it so lol. Just for the sake of transparency it was this post:

I feel like the quick accusation might have been a mafia-like move, however i see her point of trying to find information quickly. I can't think of any games she was mafia in and I'd like to compare but idk if she's beem mafia yet..? (Feel free to correct me @b100ming) For now probably null-ish. We seriously have no information to go off of.

This no longer reads as open ended to me as I must've found it yesterday.

I will note I'm not finding you as solve-y as I usually do but this set-up came out of the blue and idk how much that has to do with it. I'm trying my best to start working on my issue of finding things only suspicious since that has proven to be my biggest issue. With that I do have to acknowledge that my views on you are affected by there not being a lot to go off of. Nitpicking tiny things was my downfall with Droqen in the game that neither of us probably wants to think about.

In conclusion: Don't agree quite with my sleep deprived brain yesterday, some slight sus on you still though. Is it enough for me to vote you before we go in to EOD? Nah.

I'm probably going to go work on that room 1 ISO now while it's quiet.
I'll still be refreshing the thread periodically to respond to things so I'm not totally gone.

Sheep is my last sus because shouldn’t they have explained that their push vote WAS a push vote?

A reaction check is only effective as one if you don't say you're looking for something before doing it.
I'm also going to assume you using the word push wasn't a slip up, lol.

I switched to tessa because I have no feelings towards her either way. Like you did with me, I put the spotlight on her to see how she’d react. I’d like to think that in this situation, where there is nothing to go off of and a misvote could lead to the untimely demise of one of our fellow monsters, no one should be that sure or jumping to conclusions. tessa has not committed to any strong views so far. I wanted to feel out if it’s to lay low or if it’s due to a lack of knowledge. After her response, I’m leaning more towards she’s in the dark because there’s not much time left, she has people susing her and she has yet to offer up strong alternatives.

My mind changed about you - susing you was a knee jerk reaction to you voting me, which I know is a misvote, I just wasn’t sure how to react or what it meant. However, I appreciate your explanation and all the following thoughts after as well. You have a vote against you, but have also yet to have a hard stance in providing an alternative. You’ve flipped between me, b100ming and tessa. With the amount of time left, I’d think you’d be pushing a vote by now if you were truly of ill will. The fact that you are not, leads me to believe you are in the dark as well. However, as they say… humans, especially those that hunt our kind, are ever so crafty with their words and ever so sly with their intentions.

With b100ming, she’s voted against you and reconfirmed that vote when there’s still time. How could she know? I understand we’ll all have to vote, but why so soon and why so certain? I’d like to hear more from b100ming for that train of thought.

My current sus percentage: tessa (33%), Sheep Villager (33%), b100ming (34%)

Room 1 thoughts from a certified idiot.

I'll try to keep this brief and snappy because my original draft of this post ended up going in circles with too many quotes.

Hot take: You guys let Ace off way too easily.

I didn't really like anything Ace did or how he approached the situation. He never felt like he was trying to gather information or solve the room, instead he was consistently doing his own thing which always boiled down to trying to figure out which player pool would be best for town to live. He basically immediately eliminated Betsy from whatever his internal process was and I know this got looked at early on, but did you guys not notice it persisted all the way to EOD. There's a chain of like three posts at EOD that all were defending not going on Betsy because of reasons that felt paper thin. (She was the first to consider the neighborizer/She Derped/Why her Derp mattered the most)

Maybe I'm being cynical but I feel like the way Ace was insistent on getting Dan or Ness out has the flipside of getting rid of one player who will be highly likely to go for him. Ace even admitted Dan and Ness will never vote with him. I believe it was Dan who said Betsy had the energy of not caring who dies but I feel that even more with Ace.... as long as it's not Betsy who goes out in that room.

I also absolutely hated the post Ace made justifying Betsy not being wolf with Geoni handpicking room 1, when all Geoni said was that it was based on aggression since you guys would have nothing to go off of. You know what I'll just slap the quote here.

@Damniel are you okay with the game being Ness, you, and me for normal days.

I think one of us has to be wolf, because Geoni made this cell manually, and Betsy vs us 3 seems like not ideal imo, not making Betsy less, but Geoni knows our play styles, we were picked for a reason.

I'm probably coming off as a bit strong here but I was his last wolf partner and I feel like I see certain patterns? Could be just paranoia I guess.

As for the other ghouls in room 1.

Betsy I deeply understand being so low energy and not bloodthirsty. Given her last games I'd be shocked if she was out for blood as usual. I don't really agree with the basis for her Ness vote, it seems like a reach and a half. Do I think Betsy was a wolf or not? I'm not super convinced at this point since the reason everyone suspects her is something I feel would be a natural progression for her moving forward from the last two games she's had. Betsy has always been one to evolve with games imo.

Dan, the biggest things that pinged me was the read on Ness being scared of dying, but also idk how Ness works? It just didn't feel like I was looking at the same world as Dan on that. All I know is to expect some base level of clownery from the guy though so. I initially also found the shift towards Betsy pretty opportunistic, but I can see some light posturing that way even before she announced she was going to not be here for EOD. There were a few posts I really agreed with from him so I have slight bias in finding him town.

Ness, had weird spikes in how involved he was with the game. It ranged from not wanting to be here and not caring to being invested. If anyone knows Ness better could they look in to how those time with what was happening? I don't know if these types of things are really normal with him or not? I do kinda resonate with not loving this set up so I get some of it. I struggle a bit to keep up with Ness tbh, he's sorta all over the place with both his investment and also his votes. I cannot tell if that's wolfing it or not.

tl;dr
Betsy Dan Ness Ace

My arms are ready and open for you to come get me, Ace. Assuming I live this room phase.

I'm not sure what pleading your case means in this context (language barrier??)
With the whole 'pleading your case thing' i'm trying to explain the importance of self defense if you're voted against, and such. I guess the fact that roles arent revealed at death makes the game really difficult for me. Especially in this format voting mafia is really important that we're accurate. no actual language barrier over here, haha.

Being on mobile is difficult, but I have an event I need to get ready for so expect a little more content from me soon.

Okay I realized that I need to elaborate on this in case I die in this room so people aren't confused on what I meant.

Ace in room 1 reminds me specifically of the f5 of the game I was his partner in. In that game he had no reason to out the fact Volt had been investigated by Tessa but he did anyway just to narrow the PoE. Narrowing the PoE is something I know him to dabble in. Is it a reach to compare a room phase to f5 behavior? I have no idea but I couldn't shake the similarities off.

Anyway, that's all I have to say on Room 1, I'm going to focus on room 2 now.

Hopping on this to plead my case seriously. If I were the wolf, wouldn’t I double down softly on Sheep in the beginning? That’s 2 votes from the get go and a likely safe pass for myself. I’m new and inexperienced, I don’t think it would be too questionable for me to go after the person who voted me before I even spoke. b100ming stuck with Sheep so it’s be easy for me to piggy pack on that. But I’m not because Sheep is insightful, helping deduce things from room 1, and would be an asset to move forward… unless they are a good wolf, but that is the same for everyone else.

@Geoni

Could Lord Inoeg tell us if it's 2 hours 15 since EoD or not? I recall something about us having an hour less or something, or was that just because the room 1 end post took longer to write.

Alright I'm finally on PC so I can type way easier. I'm just going to talk about everybody in room 2 and my thoughts, I might touch on room 1 if I have time.
First I wanna talk about the whole sheep vote on caffline and I've been thinking it through. I'm definitely reassured.

I did find it strange that you voted caffline because I originally read it as a voting AFK (which I don't ever think is the best option). Your explanation about it being a reaction read made way more sense after and I have no issue with it now. I was just waiting for you to explain yourself, and you did, so it's all chill now.

Caffline: I wasn't liking your vibe at first, especially since you changed opinions so quickly.
I switched to tessa because I have no feelings towards her either way.
If you have no feelings towards me, doesn't that mean you should be more suspicious of those you do have feelings against? I feel like you changed opinions a little too fast to fit to town.
However, this post redeems a lot for me.

You raise a pretty good point in this post and it feels like a genuine town post.
Out of curiosity, do you have mafia experience elsewhere, like not on TBT?

I don't understand why you don't trust sheep. Like Caffline noted, they have helpful insight to the game. I feel like the sheep/caffline thing has been dealt with so I don't understand why you are so for voting sheep.
I’m fine with them a bit into the game, but smack dab at the start is mildly suspicious.

@Sheep Villager you still there?

also
@tessa.
And
@Caffline
You went from suspicious to mildly suspicious to voting sheep.
I can't tell if you're playing as mafia or if you're just improving and changing your play style in this game, but I wasn't really expecting the whole energy where you are expecting content and progress in the game. There isn't much we can do as there is only four of us and most of the things we have elaborated on have either been explained or dismissed.
My question for you is who else are you suspicious of/ what are your thoughts on me and caffline? Ik you said that sheep is your only sus right now but you didn't quite explain why. Plus, sheep has more content than most of us, so its going to give us more reasons to incriminate them versus both me and caffline who have a little less content.
@Geoni

This just showed up as I was typing and I think it's because Lord Inoeg posted later than it was planned.
Finally, Sheep Villager:
Honestly, I've felt town energy at pretty much everything so far. You've provided helpful insight and explained your reasoning thoroughly. I definitely prefer somebody with more content over a low content poster so you're doing good there. However, I don't really think Ace is mafia...
I think ace's big priority during the room phases was to survive as a town more. It's way harder to solve the game with no content especially since they were the first room.
I didn't really like anything Ace did or how he approached the situation. His posts felt more like he was waiting for the combined phase to solve the game.
Betsy or Ness both felt like either of them could've been mafia. I never agreed with Ness' desperate change of behavior after trying to somewhat team with ace. He felt all over the place.
Betsy always comes off as town to me (and it's a little scary how she does that) so I can't read her too well.
If I survive this phase I would love to hear more from the first room simply because I can't read anyone too well and I want to know everyone's opinions on the betsy vote.

Anyway I most likely won't be here for eOd (and if I show up it will be VERY last minute) so I think I'll place my vote on b100ming.

I'm going to go take a break for a bit and hopefully B100m will have responded to things when I get back.
I will be back for EoD so don't panic about that.

Might scream in to the void a bit while I'm gone tbh.

First time on TBT and anywhere else, just trying to figure it out as I go.

I made that comment about being suspicious of you really because I felt like you were so neutral - where as Sheep and b100ming went out on the line. I was thinking if I were wolf, I’d lay low and not attract attention or give too much incase someone catches a hole in my story. But your response made me re-evaluate things a lot about motives and play styles and now I’m leaning towards b100ming.

I’m going to vote b100ming for now - if they give a compelling argument otherwise, I’ll reconsider.

Please don’t kill me I just want to play with my brother!! But seriously caffline there is like no way for me to prove myself innocent in this kind of setup. I am trying my best but I have never played a setup even remotely similar to this.

I was hoping to be in the same room as my brother, but the rand was not in my favor. I know me dying won’t make the town less likely to win, as there are many more experienced townies here, but I swear I’m not a mafia, I really want to live to see the bigger game. I’ll unvote sheep, but I don’t really see any other mafia behavior in this room, and if I swap to vote alongside someone else, you’ll still accuse me. I’m not sure how you expect me to explain myself.

I was kind of expecting to be the sacrifice here, but I was hoping I was wrong. Not sure if I’ll survive, but if I don’t I will be rooting for y’all from the graveyard chat, which may not exist but I’m hoping.

@Caffline I also don’t believe you’ve never played mafia 🤨🧐👀

I never played mafia before …lowers head… I actually don’t play animal crossing either 🥺. I am a friend of shellbell, so that’s how I got here.

Are you able to explain your motives or reasoning for why your words have been town oriented? My vote for you was not a confident one, and I want to switch. But at the same time, I don’t know who to switch to without more reasoning.

Right.

Can anyone explain me why B100m as wolf would go for a vote on me like that, on something that has already been solved none the less? That feels like trying to get yourself voted off, as is happening right now. I see nothing to gain from doing this for a wolf as there was 0 momentum on me until that post. The risks of doing that outweigh any benefits.

As of now the only person in here who seems to question me at all is B100m (no matter how weird the reason is) and I genuinely feel like the wolf in here is laying low. I don't like the feeling I get that I'm being catered to just to pacify me.

My eyes right now are still on Tessa and Caffline I think. I know both of you TR me but I'm not making the mistake of letting that cloud my judgement on this.

What about Tessas reaction told you she is in the dark?
You also said you expected wolves to lay low at this point of the game so why would Tessas response of not swinging at anyone else affect your thoughts on her?

If anything Tessas response looks like deflecting the conversation away from her spotlight moment.

As town, I don’t see what you have to gain from pinning a person when there’s nothing to go off of. As wolf, if you pin someone, you just have to get one more person to agree with you to have a good chance to sliding by. I’m not voting for b100ming because I think she’s the wolf, I’m doing it because she’s the only person who I don’t understand their reasoning. Even if you or tessa gave fake reasoning, I have to believe it at this point instead of playing 3D chess in my mind about who is lying.

You and b100ming still have a chance to change the tides, if I’m understanding right.

Okay but you already left a townread on me before B100m posted.

If B100m wanted to pin me she already had reasons to not attempt it. Heck, why wouldn't she have gone for Tessa when I literally said I was sussing her the most before signing off. Even you were on Tessa.

I explained it earlier. Tbh sometimes I don’t understand my reasoning.
