More proof

Well actually, think about it.
They might not have it for the rev.
But they can still research new technology to use and have it perfected by the next system.

just my thought :evillaugh:

This does not have anyhting to do with it. This has to do with the Virtual Boy, which was his last invention for Nintendo. Since it was such a failure, he was demoted in Nintendo. By the way, he did not invent the DS.

That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard, I'm afraid. This invention was patented in 2000... The Virtual Boy was made in 1995. :|

He had the main concept for the DS.

Whoa, calm down there.

Storm, read the last few lines, too. Besides the date, there's proof that the patent was for 3D rendering for multiple people, the VB only allowed 1.

And he wasn't responsible for the DS, not really.

Yokoi Gunpei died in 1997.
He was responsible for the DS in the way that the concept of innovation he instilled into Nintendo thrived. :\

And Storm, that tech could have been patented in 2000 even though he died in 97, since there were obviously more team members.

Yeah, he died in 1997... he started the Metroid and Kid Icarus franchises and was a "driving force" behind the Game Boy, but I don't think he had anything to do with the Revolution or the DS.

Not directly, but he fueled Nintendo with innovation... The concept, at least.

And this seems to be directly related to the Revolution.

:p

i'm positive he had nothing to do with the revolution... nintendo said themselves they started work on it shortly after the gamecube was released... this guy died 4 years before that. >_>

It doesn not necessarily mean it is related to the rev.

I have not seen anythng on the rev to make me think that there would be something like this.

Not to mention if they did have it, it would be an addon because do you really think all the old games could be played on something like that? no so it will at least need to be hooked to a TV sometimes.

"Same game, different look."

That was something that was said about the retro games in an old NP.

I believe there there were referring to upgraded versions of the classics, such things as better graphics, or extra levels, not now event the ones not meant to be 3d are 3d.
