most annoying acnl features?

The biggest annoyances that I had were villagers placing their houses in stupid places and the RNG for trying to unlock all the different PWP’s. These two things annoyed me sooo much, that I ended up modding my 3DS and using a save editor to manually move my villagers house to decent places and unlock the rest of the PWP’s.

I wish you could demolish the reset centre. In my town, Rocket wants to move (as another villager told me) and I was waiting for her to approach me to lmk, but because I built the reset centre (biggest mistake and waste of my life) and I had left without saving, he popped up when I loaded the game. You can't do anything before he finishes talk to you, so of course THAT'S when Rocket decided to go to talk to me. I couldn't talk to her.

So sayonara my fav villager in my town ig 😞

someone probably already said this but, the fact that you cant stack fruits
Actually, I think you can stack fruits in New Leaf? You just drag them on to each other. Unless I’m misunderstanding something?

- I've been kind of annoyed about the fact that you need to have your character idling out in the sun for long periods of time per day to tan and then maintain said tan if you wanted a character with a different skin color. You can use Mii Masks, and I do, but that also means you can't give the character headwear or accessories or it will revert to the standard. I can kind of understand what they were going for with the tanning gimmick, but not having the option for so many years was unfortunate. Fortunately, New Horizons (and I think Happy Home Designer, prior to NH) added the option.

- Grass erosion is annoying, but as someone who has time traveled since my childhood days with the GameCube game, it is easily fixed. Still annoying that it can make your town into a barren, muddy wasteland though.

- Having to throw down designs on the ground around your town to try to make sure that new residents will plot their house where you want them to is annoying. At least it's something we can control though instead of being completely random.

- Permanent rocks are a bummer. I have a few rocks in some awkward/annoying spots in a few towns that I'd love to destroy and have them spawn elsewhere like they do in New Horizons.

- As someone who never really encountered that many people via Streetpass, the Happy Home Showcase was a bit lacking in my case. Had to rely on other members of the forums here to acquire the items you could get from it, like the ice creams.

- Region specific holiday items. Fortunately I acquired them from people on here before the 3DS servers shut down, but yeah.

- Rare items that were exclusive to Club Tortimer. They were cool, but some took forever, if ever, to appear. I got them from people on here too, but like, I had to snag a bunch of Silver Axes before the closure too since I like the special tree stumps.

There might be something I forgot, but if so, I'll edit it in or make a new post if the topic continues.

For me the first thing that comes to mind was the 16 villager cycle... it always griefed me so hard, especially as someone who used time travel a lot. Coupled with the NL villagers having much more free will and wanting to move a lot sooner than I feel NH villagers are. I had a fair amount of accidental move-outs and it devastated me each time it happened akfdk. I recall being the most sad about Whitney and Phoebe back in NL because they were two big dreamies of mine at the time. Whitney in particular had actually been gifted to me by @/mogyay way back a a welcome gift and my 14-15 y/o self definitely fumbled with her time travelling LOL. I got Whitney back a few years later iirc, but that 16 villager cycle really takes forever, even if you do time travel. 😅 I never understood why it they made it such a big number, but I digress. I'm glad that amiibo cards are something that can bypass that game mechanic, but if you didn't have that villagers card it was ggs.
