Docked; I'm a major klutz with electronics and I drop them a lot. I'm surprised my 3DS lasted so long. I'm just too paranoid I'll drop my Switch and it'll break.
I plan on using the TV for the whole weekend/weekends in general while my mom is out doing her own thing. But during weekdays when I have nothing to do after school, I probably use it handheld.
Mostly handheld for me because that's what I'm used to and I'll be bringing it everywhere. However, the graphics are so beautiful I'll probably want to play on the tv sometimes so that I can appreciate them more. Also, tv = couch co-op with my buddies that don't have switches yet.
At the moment I play mostly handheld because I don’t have access to an ideal TV set up. The TV in the living room has a fuzzy picture and it gets way too hot there that I fear my switch will overheat. On the rare occasion I feel like taking my pro controller out for a spin, I will play on the switch screen with the stand to prop it up. I’m probably in the minority when I say that I prefer using joycons over the pro. The pro controller is definitely comfier to use but it feels a bit big in my hands. At some point I do want to experience acnh on the big screen though! But if I don’t have the opportunity to I’m more than happy just using it in handheld mode because I’m very used to it.
I will mostly play in docked mode, like 99% of the time. I waited far too long for an HD Animal Crossing and I want to see it in brilliant technicolor on a huge screen! In my opinion, Animal Crossing has always been a slow-paced home console game that you can play hours and hours - never understood the appeal to play it on a tiny screen while on the go.
I’ve only played the handheld AC’s, but I’ll definitely be trying out NH docked. I usually dock when my Switch is about to die, but I’m also looking forward to laying in bed and playing NH in handheld.
Currently I play my Switch exclusively handheld, because Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is a weird game and it?s kind of hard to track what?s going on the screen playing it docked. I don?t think that will be a problem with New Horizons though, so if not I?ll probably be playing it mostly docked.
Probably mostly handheld, but I'm definitely starting it off docked. AC has just been portable for so long it's probably a habit I won't break, and I love the ability of the Switch to do both.
Mostly docked. I mostly play video games at my own house, so games on handheld consoles means I just have to stare at a small screen. No need to do that when I'm at home.
I loathe playing games on the TV. So I’m always going to be playing it on handheld. Besides, since I’m playing New Horizons on my Switch Lite and not my other Switch, it’ll be played on handheld forever.
I'm likely going to play it more handheld as I can't be by my TV often! I'll be bringing my Switch to work and playing on my lunch break every single day. c:
HOWEVER whenever I have the opportunity to play on my TV, I def will! Especially the first weekend it's out. Being able to play on the big screen is something I've been waiting to do since City Folk x3
I'm not sure yet if I'll get a Switch or a Switch Lite, but if I get a Switch I'll still have to play it in handheld mode most of the time because we only have one TV. I'd only be able to dock it and play on the big screen like once a week when I'm home by myself. I would love to see the game on a big screen again, though. It looks gorgeous!
