Move-in Villager from Another Town: Relocation?

My dreamie villager is moving in today (I haven't opened the game yet, but I know since I asked him to move in from another town when he was in boxes).

I was wondering if I used the new save file trick to see where his house would be and I didn't like it, would he still be moving in if I closed out without saving? Or will he disappear, like how random move-in villagers would if you did the new save file trick?

I'm hoping that if I don't like where he moves in, I can just close out the new file and start again, with him hopefully in a different area. However, I don't know if this actually works, and I don't want to risk it.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you use the trick, he will still move in. You can create then quit without saving as much as you want, if your dreamie said he was gonna come to your town, he will anyway.

When you quit without saving, it will just change his location. (which is random)
If you load on one of you already existent character, the city will save itself in the beginning, so the villager's location will not move even if you quit without saving.
