I’m a quarter Swedish, so I’ve always wanted to immerse myself in the culture. I used to celebrate St. Lucia Day in elementary school…idk why I stopped! I’d move there, then England, then France.
if i had the money/didn’t have friends and family where i live currently; the west, specifically southern california. i’ve only been there once, i know it’s mad expensive and it has its problems but i am absolutely in love with the flora there.
Without trying to give away my location, I think at least as of right now where I’d someday like to move is a city that’s under an hour away from where I currently live. It’s not quite a huge downtown city, but has way more walkable stuff than the further out more rural area I’m in now, while still maintaining lots of parks/green space. A lot of the houses I’ve seen there look very cute. And under an hour is manageable for visiting family relatively often, I don’t think I’d want to move too far because of that. My parents both moved from their original states to where we live now before they met here, and so visiting my extended family has always been pretty much just a couple times a year and involves all-day car rides. Would prefer not to have to do that to see my immediate family.
Boston, for sure! I looove the city nightlife. It is so.. heartwarming to me for some reason? I have always said I dislike people, but I never realized that I just dislike the environment I'm in. I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere, near a bad part of town. There's not much to do here, and the people depress me or irritate me. But.. in the city.. ESPECIALLY since it's in a completely different state (I live in Ohio), it's just.. so intriguing to me! I love seeing people walk down the street at 11pm. That is not normal where I live. I love seeing city lights, buildings lit up, bridges, etc. Living in Boston would be expensive. But I think it would heal me in some way.
I'm not sure, but for now I'm thinking about Quebec, Canada. My partner lives there and sometimes I like to imagine us supporting each other in person.
I’ve alway wanted to live in Japan, but that’s obviously a big change my whole life move. If we’re talking about small changes, I’d probably move somewhere central in the us, maybe? since I’ve already seen the west and the east, might as well check out how the central ppl live; either that or Canada. I have a cousin who lives there and she says it’s nice.
