Another idea if you want to make it look like a campsite for more than one is create another character, but never upgrade. thats what I did

I have a bench outside my house, outside sherbs house, outside quillsons house, one at the campsite, one at my gym, and one at my duck pond.

I dont think there is such a things as too many craft benches

I like the scattered clovers more than the squares of clovers. I would also put weeds and bushes to mix it up and give it more dimension. I think that would make it look more like your reference photo.

i was thinking.. why put actual weeds in there when you can put custom designs of weeds there :3

you should feel free to disregard my input, but to me the variation in height and shape that you get from using a blend of trees, bushes, weeds, and custom designs gives you a sense of dimension and ‘softens’ the area, makes it look more natural, like the ground in your photo from the first post.

however it looks great and if you like it as is you should keep it as is.

it is very clean and open looking now, which is very nice, and the layout works well - everything has enough space and it doesn’t look cramped, while still seeming like a cozy spot for camping

Personally, I'd remove a few of the clover designs, but that's just me. But maybe it just seems unbalanced to me? Again, I personally prefer a more diverse look- my camping area has some flowers, weeds, furniture items, etc. and it feels appropriately cluttered IMO. Maybe some leaf piles, weeds, flowers, etc. might add more... IDK, depth seems like a good word?

BUT I admittedly love clutter 😅

I actually was gonna say the same thing- I personally prefer real weeds, at least having a few of them, because they have more dimension and look more "realistic" in the game world. Yes, they're harder to manage and sometimes you need to pick/remove them, but overall I personally like the look a lot better. The clovers are cute, too, I just wouldn't use them personally.

BUT part of the fun of the game is playing, and decorating, how you want!

i'm gonna put one outside the nook's cranny too :3

Leaf pile would be cool, too. And by log pile I meant firewood, sorry. But I guess if you're trying to replicate the picture, replace the cedar trees with the regular ones (non-fruit variety), and craft at least one wild log bench. In that gathering of three trees on the right, it looks like the bench sits next to the one furthest right.

it's soooo late getting it but... biff just gave me the firewood diy ^^

Hello!

As we see this thread has been - and continues - to be used as a place to source island feedback, we’re going to go ahead and close this here and instead ask that you use the official Island and Feedback Showcase thread for the purpose of sharing parts of your island to receive feedback moving forward.

Thank you! :)
