My game froze.

I went up to a snowman to get a snowflake. When I “touched” him, I didn’t get any dialogue. I also found I couldn’t move at all. I tried to use the ”-“ button to end the game, but no response. The home button worked, so I was able to close the game from there. I restarted the game and had no problems after that. Anybody else had that happen?

Does your island have a lot of items around it?

Something like this kept happening to me last year in the winter only, but it only happened in the areas that had the most items sitting in them.

I've had something similar to this happen to me. So I pulled out the phone menu to access the nook shopping app. Upon opening it, I had no control whatsoever. I couldn't move the cursor, I couldn't back out, nothing. Was your Switch in sleep mode shortly before interacting with the snowman? Because that's the situation I was in when it happened, so it could have something to do with it.

i don’t think there are a lot of items in that area, but maybe. I have recently been dropping a lot of things on the ground. Maybe that’s it.

no. I had been playing for quite awhile. It doesn’t sound like it’s a major glitch, so fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again.
