Not a Dock.
How is it not?
It's not one of them Apple docks, apparently.
But he didn't say look at my apple dock.
He made any kind of dock.
I know, but Tye's version of a dock is an Apple one.
:l
There are no other Docks except Mac Docks. >_> It's a Mac OS X term. The Windows 7 knockoff is called the "Superbar". =P

Excuse me, Tye:

Taken from Wikipedia:
A dock is a user interface feature of a number of operating systems that typically provides a user with a way of launching and switching between applications. Early implementations of the dock concept include the icon bar in Acorn Computers's Arthur operating system (which led to the RISC OS) and the dock in the NEXTSTEP operating system (which lead to Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X). Other dock implementation are included in Apple's Newton OS and iPhone OS and a variety of third party applications that add dock features to operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Linux, though Mac OS X's has been the most commercially successful. The patent on Apple's implementation was applied for in 1999, the year before the new Mac OS X interface was first publicly demonstrated, and granted in October 2008.

Now, the Mac "dock" may be the most well known; however, it is in no way the first and only dock in existence.

Also, it's clean and simple. Very nice, Rorato.

It doesn't have to be an "Mac Dock" to be considered a Dock.

Yes, other operating systems have similar things, but Apple invented the term "Dock". Anything else is just a copy.

That's your opinion.

Dohohohoho

I'm pretty sure the term "dock" existed before computers were even in somebody's wildest dreams.

Was it called a "Dock", though? I meant that Apple made the term. At least that's what I've always heard. They do capitalize it. Anyway, if I'm wrong, whatever. To me, I think of Mac's Dock when I hear the word "Dock". =p
