Even though she won't be joining us (for now, I haven't exactly told her what she could do yet..), she still got New Leaf for her birthday yesterday and decided to join the fun with me. I did talk about it somewhere how we played CF and she didn't really understand it, but hey - now we can actually have fun together.
So, based on your passed experiences, what is some advice you have for her?
1. She doesn't have to like the first map/town/villagers that pop up! I'm pretty sure it's obvious she should know this, but still, it's helpful. That's what I thought when I got my first town - I always wanted to keep it! But let her know she doesn't have to like the first town and such (if she's prone to thinking like I do). XD 2. Perfect fruit can be hard to understand, so if she has a question that you don't have answers to I'm sure Lindsey and Kohei's YouTube channel can help y'all out (http://www.youtube.com/LinandKo). Their videos are really well known here, but in case you haven't checked out their channel they have a full video dedicated to perfect fruit, I believe! 3. Let her think about her map. Where should the caf? go? What about a lighthouse? Keep in mind that lots of space is essential in finding the perfect map! 4. Talk to Isabelle a lot! She has lots of tips and once she tells you all of them, there's a special prize! She has lots to offer and can be very helpful - which is something many of the villagers say, so I'm sure she'll be sure to talk to Isabelle.
5. This is her town! It's her decision for what she wants to do with it, and if she wants to...uh, be a bad mayor, let her. The world has different people, and different people like different things. Plus, some people find it fun to wreck their own town and possibly start anew the opposite way!
Hmm...that's pretty much all of the tips I have in mind. Wishing you both luck!^^ If I think of anything else useful I'll be sure to add it.
Have fun!
