Name changes

I have been thinking about changing my username, but do not want to spend the BTB if it is not available. I did a search and it did not come up. Is there a way to know for sure?

If you do a search, the name will come up if it's taken, providing the user isn't banned, and as long as it's not something common or that could possible be taken already, such as your birth name, you should be fine
