Hey everyone! I'm looking for a little help when it comes to choosing a name. I may or may not know someone who's getting a new kitty sometime in the near future, and they seem to need some help coming up with a fitting name. I know we have some lovely creative folk in our midst, so I figured I'd pick some of your brains in hopes of filling up a name bank. If this person I probably don't know ends up using one of the names mentioned by one of you, expect a pretty cool gift from me as a thank you. 🐱

Some things that would be cool to derive from:
  • Winter
  • Snow
  • Gems/Minerals
  • Mythology/Folklore
  • The color blue
  • Anything both fantastic and creative

Serious food for thought:

Eirlys!

I used this name for a character once. It means snowdrop, but I’m unsure of what language. I want to say maybe Welsh? Or of Welsh origin, at least. ^^

here are a few name ideas:

Sapphire
Cobalt
Sabu (the Tibetan word for snow leopard)
Milarepa (Tibetan saint who according to legend could transform himself into a snow leopard, could be Millie for short)
Comet
Frostglow
Fria
Xolodna
Juneau (girl)
Bering (boy)

They are beautiful ;w;
My fav mythology name recently is Orpheus bc I'm trash for Hadestown.

Congrats! She’s a cutie.😻What’s her personality like? Is she gentle, playful, a snuggler, feisty or some combination? I find it’s so much easier to name an animal after getting to know them first.

oh my god that's the cutest cat I've ever SEEN. Such a gorgeous color 😢

Little guy looks like a baby fox, so I suggest Ash (based off my favorite fox name). Little Ashy guy with little ashy fur SO CUTE 💙💜

She's... eclectic. Purrs the second you look at her, chews on your fingers, meows with no sound, grabs your hands through her crate, then turns into a chill little hippie cat as soon as you walk away. I don't know that I've ever seen a kitten who's so confident/cocky at such a young age.
