Nathans Hot Dog Contest

I've done better
One of my friends ate 16 school hot dogs in 5 minutes. He could have ate more if he had anymore. And if we didn't purposely make him laugh so he spat some out.

:D

That's just an excuse. Why not say somebody else lost because they had a tummy ache?

It's not an excuse, he was slower than usual.

And maybe Bob had some stomach problems, which is why he lost. The fact is that this guy didn't win, and you can't say "he would have won". The winner ate more than what he ate last year and he made a new world record. Maybe he was "slow" because he was getting full! All I'm saying is, it doesn't matter if he's bleeding out of his eyes, he lost.

He was at a disadvantage! How can you say that? If a person has an injured leg and competes in a race... well, you tell me.

His name is Kobayashi not Bob. And he had a messed up a jaw, with a normal jaw he wouldve owned.
I wasn't talking about him. And you probably know nothing about competitive eating.

If an injured person was in a race NOBODY (as far as winners go) would care. No one would be like "oh yah, that person who won doesn't deserve it". Let's say a football player gets an injury. Does the team go "we may have lost, but that's only because so-and-so was injured and we actually deserve to win".

And blame this guy for his problems. Competitive eating is about how much you can eat, not how much you might be able to eat if the sun is shining at the right angle. It's about how much your body can handle, and obviously his body couldn't handle enough to get first place this year.
