Naughty or Nice

I don’t have much TBT, but even I would rather be nice than naughty.
 
I think naughty actions being free without a cooldown is important. It shows what people are like when they're free to fully indulge in their naughty impulses. The same for nice actions not being free, if it didn't cost anything, it would lack almost all meaning. We've learned so much about so many people because of this event, people revealing their inner nature and stuff.

Like, could I be throwing snowballs and stealing presents? Of course I could, it's free, it's easy, there's no penalty for doing it. But I don't because I would derive no enjoyment from it.

Could I be saving my TBT rather than spending it on hot cocoa and presents that will all be undone by naughty people soon anyway? Of course I could. But I enjoy helping people, so I'm happy to spend my bells on that. I'm getting more enjoyment out of spending them this way than hoarding them.

And, as always, whenever I post here, I'll brace myself for a pummeling with snowballs. XD

I think you're taking the wrong thing from this. Jeremy said rich people are good and the poor are naughty. He created this dystopia.
 
@-Blue- I don't think it's a dystopia, I think it's a social experiment. No one is forcing the "poor" people to perform naughty actions. Plenty of people with plenty of bells are doing naughty things. It only takes one nice action to get you into a positive naughty-or-nice coefficient score if you want the candy instead of the coal. People are making choices, some of them in very extreme ways, and I find it fascinating.

If there were some negative consequences for not taking part in this event or for being naughty, it would be different. But I think this is just about seeing the choices that people make. No one is in any position to say, "I had no choice but to be naughty!" I mean, some people have said it, but that doesn't make it true. We all have a choice. And it's interesting to see the choices people are making.

That doesn’t look like something I would do. I even check my given reactions to make sure I never left a snowball or grinch react.

Karma is going to come after me one day. I got to show karma that I’m not misbehaving.
