Need help on making sprite animation

Hello I was wondering if any one here knows of any good programs I can buy that will help me with sprite animation. Cause I have always been a big fan of sprites and always wanted to make a YouTube channel dedicated to sprite animation.

So if any one here knows of any good programs or free programs I can try or buy that will help me with it please let me know. Also by any chance does any one know of any good tutorial's that teaches you about sprite animation as well.
