Neon Genesis Evangelion

Although this could be classified as a "giant robot" anime, it's definitely not in my eyes; it actually has a story, and lacks the seizure-enducing flashes that run-of-the-mill robot animes have. This anime wasn't particularly popular during its launch because it was shown during a time when teens usually watched TV. When it was switched to a more adult-oriented show-time, the anime's popularity skyrocketed and it became a smash hit.

People who know or heard about anime know Neon Genesis Evangelion, but they might not realize it. 'Tis that simple.

But anyways... The show was finished in '96, but it enjoys re-runs on Adult Swim. Do any of you watch it? I find it to be quite amazing... I love the bossa-nova inspired music the most.

Yeah, it is, but be forewarned, some of the episodes are inappropriate, especially the latter ones, which got the rating of "MA", which is "Mature Audiences." 'Tis mostly for language and sexual themes.

I like some of the robot animes like Macross(aka robotech), I like the big battles happening, I dont like gundam because its always about 5 main robots. Full metal is also a sweet show.
