ok so you know how you have different accounts on the switch right?
and each new account makes a complete new save file.
soooo if they dont disable this somehow we could just make a new account and get a new town!!
this would be amazing!!!

That would be an interesting feature, for sure! Like if how separate accounts functioned like separate memory cards on the Gamecube.

I really hope that is the case that every Switch account is a new town. Can you imagine how easy it would be to make as many, themed towns as you want?! That would be so cool! Of course if you want a DA for each town I think you'd need a Nintendo ID for each account, but that's pretty easy to do.

oooohhh i don't have a switch yet i didn't know that! that's awesome! so when i get a switch and the animal crossing game i won't need to buy a separate copy just to make the alice human sacrifice themed town i've always wanted to make...although, even then i think it'd take a while to get to the point where i can create and manage a second town yknow?

If I can use both of my current profiles (made a second profile for a new XC2 save), I'll be very happy.

I’ve been hoping this will be the case for a while, so hopefully this will be how it works! It works that way with other games, so hopefully they’ll keep it for AC Switch too!

I'm pretty sure that should be the case unless Nintendo has something against that for some reason. I don't really see why they would though.

But yeah you would need the family plan membership to go online with all of them as the subscription is per profile. Still, you would only need the family plan once per year for all of them. Not too bad I don't think.

The save data will most likely be stored within the Cartridge like New Leaf but it would honestly be great if a new account did make a different town.

Not necessarily. No Switch games so far work like 3DS games; the data isn't stored in the catridges but rather the system storage or memory card. I don't see why Animal Crossing Switch would work any differently. Who knows though!

All Switch games have their save data written to the console, the game cards are read-only, they cannot be written to. There are no exceptions to this.

Each account on a Switch will be able to have their own town.

There's something even better than merely owning multiple different towns for themes... You could also have both a main town AND a cycling town, with just a single game card!

thats true but you cant trade between your towns since you use the same switch for both.
thats the only downside tbh

If this is the case that you can make a new town with a new account then this would
be amazing. Like I never have to think about again if I want to delete my current town
for the sake of a new town... I just gonna use another account and make a new one
and still keep the other one. This sounds really nice and I hope this is how it will works
then.

That's exactly how it will work, no ifs or maybes. Each account on a Switch has its own save data.
