The Museum is one of my favorite things in Animal Crossing. I think it is a very relaxing building, and I enjoy being able to look at my accomplishments. I am sure that we will see some additions to all 4 exhibits, so what would you add if you were able to decide?

For fish, I would like to see more jellyfish. I think they are beautiful creatures, and there are many different species. One of the most interesting is the lion's mane jellyfish. Perhaps it could be caught through diving, appearing in the winter, and it would be one of the biggest and most difficult to catch. Also, giant/colossal squid are incredibly interesting as well. I mean, you are able to catch sharks, so giant squids are not too outlandish.

As for art, just about anything by Claude Monet would be nice, and his style seems like it would really fit with Animal Crossing's aesthetic. For statues, perhaps a Chinese Terracotta Warrior would be a good edition.

I'm hoping for more jellyfish too, they're my favorite sea creature.
For bugs I'd like more butterflies and moths, maybe even caterpillars and more spiders.

I hope they do a little change to the museum music and keep the second floor shop
and also bring back celeste's constellation room, and perhaps her nephew could run the museum shop (if she has one)
I really like the jellyfish idea :)

The jellyfish idea sounds pretty nice. In general, some new sea creatures added to the ones
that are already in New Leaf would be great. More paintings and statues would be nice too,
maybe they could give Redd a Art shop?

I’d love if they added a garden exhibit, where you can donate all your different flowers and plants to the museum and they can all be in different cute little pots.

Ohh the terracotta warriors would be awesome. Actually, I'd like the art museum to have regional pieces. Like an asian wing, western wing, etc. with a bigger collection. Maybe the only way to acquire some pieces is if you visit the town of an NA/EU/Asia town. And I agree with the user above, they definitely should bring back Celeste's observatory. It's too sad that she became a freakin museum gift shop salesperson... she moved her observatory into her RV lmao.

I hope the diving mechanic is smoothed up (it was pretty janky) and we get lots more diving creatures. More than adding anything, I hope their enclosures as items in our own home, and in the museum, are both much more detailed and realistic.

I love the jellyfish idea. It was so sad they removed them as a fish to catch in the sea. I wish I could catch them again with the fishing rod. I'm pretty sure they were catch able in the fall back in City Folk? Maybe they could do that again? More creatures would definitely be nice.

I think adding a meteorite to the fossil side would be pretty neat. That, or like ancient tools perhaps?

I was thinking about deep sea creatures today, and I thought that the blobfish would be a good choice for a fish exhibit. You have probably seen pictures of this creature that are not particularly flattering, but these are all taken in an environment where they cannot survive. Blobfish look a lot more normal when placed in their natural environment:

Don't get me wrong, they still look a little strange, but they're nowhere near "world's ugliest animal" material. I think this could help educate some people on the true nature of an animal that is often unfairly depicted.

They should introduce a mineral wing. They should also have one for gyroids since I see very little use in gyroids (especially since their quality declined since Wild World).

Leafcutter ants! This just popped into my head now but I think it would be a brilliant fit. You could find them in your town carrying around item leaves, and catching them would allow you to also obtain a random piece of furniture. Once inside the Museum they would appear on a tree, carrying leaves down from it. These leaves would just look like normal leaves to avoid confusion from the player.

I'll still visit the museum and try to complete it on the new game, but I might not finish all the way. On new leaf, which I still play everyday, I never caught all the bugs and fish that they wanted. I got all the fossils and artwork by repetitiously digging up bones and checking out the scam tent. Those took a while but just seemed to be a matter of time until luck kicked in and you got what you needed. However I still can't get every fish/bug to come up even with thonky and wiki help.

They should add giant ground sloths as fossils. They were truly impressive creatures, and they would be perfect for an exhibit in this game.

I also like the idea of a relics section, which would probably be a subsection of the art section.

I like the idea of a space for stuff like flower and plants, gyroids, and minerals!

Another cool thing that could go in the same room with the minerals is say finding a random different looking digging point and digging there with the shovel to reveal small things like old pottery bits and stuff and after giving a few of the same type to Blathers you could have a finished item on display. Like say giving him 4 'broken plate piece' would result in him completing a nice ancient plate to put on display or you could use it to decorate your home or whatever.

Bumping this thread since I still think the subject is interesting and there's been some different users around here lately.

I really hope that Blathers will have a Plants/Greenhouse section so that you can donate all different kinds of flowers, mushrooms, foliage, and possibly new types of trees!

I?d love if they added a garden exhibit, where you can donate all your different flowers and plants to the museum and they can all be in different cute little pots.

Ooh I like that idea! I love breeding flowers but I never know how to organize them without risking them being accidentally trampled or just all out destroyed because someone put their house on it T3T

I would love if the museum had a conservatory area for plants! Maybe non-native fruit trees in your museum conservatory would have a chance of growing non-native perfect fruits that Blathers would give you as thanks - you still wouldn't be able to plant them, but you could sell them (or w/e else) at least.

I also agree that the Gyroids should get their own wing. I've always liked collecting them, but it's so difficult finding storage space for them all.

As far as existing museum areas, just continue expanding the fish and bugs and fossils/archeological items. As far as sea creatures go, they should include jellyfish, sea slugs, and more deep sea type creatures. Could possibly have a mechanic in diving where instead of a shadow it's the faint glow of a bioluminescent deep sea animal.
