New Patch 1.1.4a

Well I’m glad I have at least 5 of each egg in case I don’t have enough for that last recipe. If there are less egg day balloons, maybe there won’t be an endless stream of the balloon noise anymore haha. That was starting to bug me.
I read a guide somewhere on the internet that says that you need at least 34 of each type of egg in order to craft everything.

Oh, well I think I’ll have more than enough them since I gathered a lot the past days; the only recipe I need to craft is the one you get on Bunny day. Thanks for that info.

I hope this is also them realizing that having several timed events running at the same time and using the same mechanics does not work. They probably wanted to make it so people with limited time each day can still collect the Bunny Day stuff, and in turn made the sakura items ridiculously rare since they both rely on balloons.

Also my heart fell when I noticed the fishing tourney takes place before the event ends. Not sure if the new tourney system pauses the egg spawns, but the thought of competitive fishing where 50-60% of your catches are eggs is a nightmare

I've though about that. The problem might be that they need to appeal to 2 audiences.
In Japan, they don't celebrate Easter (I think). But Hanami is huge! so for their native (and original) audience they needed to have a hanami/sakura event.
For most of the western world, Hanami is not a thing, but Easter is! so they needed an Easter event.
So they did 2 events ... at the same time

thank god they nerfed the eggs, hopefully the next thing they patch will be the amiibo system

Glad to hear that they're toning down the eggs. I'm on day 13 now, I believe, and still haven't seen Flick (got a storeroom full of tarantulas waiting for him).

I'm glad I have a ton of eggs and completed the furniture lol.

Shame they didnt fix any bugs with the villager move ins and outs... but maybe they're working on it.

I just hope they learn from this and do more to make future events more manageable

Oh no, I understand why we have them both and don't mind that part. I think having two events depending on balloon popping rng running at the same time is a bad idea. For example, if you invented sakura recipes based on how many petals you've caught there would be no issue at all. But running multiple events that are timed, reliant on rng, and use the same gameplay mechanic=frustrating

It's just ANOTHER example of bad game design. Unfortunately, ACNH has a ton of examples of what a Dev shouldn't do when developing a game.

agreed. trying to have the sakura diys, bunny day and a fishing tourney all in the same timeline was a bad move lmao

How many pieces of egg furniture are there? I've gotten tons, but there seems to be dropping just more and more recipes all the time.
And how many sakura recipes are there? I've only gotten one. :(

heh can't say I'm disappointed with the reduced egg rates, but just as I realised I haven't gotten any sky eggs!! lol

You kidding? I have about a few hundred of them. I see 1-2 per minute. I started eating them just so I could move trees.

All though I am very glad they nerfed the egg spawn rate, I am going to hold off updating until I am sure I can craft all 37-40 items . I may be lacking water eggs as I have completely stopped fishing during the last week, and earth eggs since I only find about 4-6 per day in my town.

I posted a checklist of all of the items that can be crafted in Post #14. :)

I'm curious about the villager glitch though.
That still seems to be a major thing. Has it been addressed in the patch notes at all?

Still haven't fixed the campsite glitch, huh? D:
Well, at least I already made all the egg furniture.
