Hello! I’m a very long time Animal Crossing fan who’s also very tired of the big social media sites and am trying to go back to forums. It’s wonderful seeing a dedicated Animal Crossing forum! I’m very excited to be here.

I’ve been playing since the OG GameCube days, and have a lot of memories with my family all playing together. It’s always been a source of comfort for us, even today.

And… my favorite villager is Papi…

Yes! I just started playing NH again after a months long break. I was working too much and didn’t really have time for, uh. Anything. LOL. Honestly most of my time right now is spent in HHD since it’s a good creative time killer

Hey there, and welcome to the community! It’s so nice to have memories with your family in this game! The closest my dad got to playing was on Gamecube, where his main focus was completing my museum. He actually accomplished that, as donating didn’t interest me at that time.

This game really helped me during my childhood because I was bullied a lot in school. It was basically my escape.

Papi is a nice horse! I think he’s the one horse that I actually like. My favorite villager is Mac, although I’m very attached to all of the dog villagers. I even have a Bones plushie!

Yeah! New Leaf was honestly one of the defining games of my early teenhood because I didn't really have any options for friends with my living situation, so the game eased that need a little. It was also where my (then long distance) fiance and I had our first dates! I kinda miss that feeling of wondering what my villager friends would talk about on a day to day basis. They really missed the mark in NH with villager interactions, though it's still serviceable I suppose. But, I also don't have that need like I used to since my living situation has changed so drastically.

I had Mac as an early villager in NL! I miss him. He was a good crinkly boy.

Thank you! I do a lot of my own artwork, but this icon is by Zoraproxie! Though I'm not sure if they still go by that username as the artwork is several years old by this point. I'm also really into drawing nothing but animals, furries, etc etc... I have a huge soft spot for cheetahs, pun intended

New Leaf will always be a nostalgic special favorite of mine, but I am really enjoying the day to day comfort that New Horizons brings me. I think part of the joy of Animal Crossing is how you can always find some sort of purpose in the game. This time around, it's an escape from adult life lmao

I personally draw all kinds of stuff but I absolutely love drawing anthro/furries as well!! (if it wasn't obvious by my avatar lol) animals/anthro/furries make up majority of what I draw, but I also really like drawing Animal Crossing and Super Mario fan art! if you ever want to show off your drawings you can make an art thread in The Museum forum, I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see your art

it’s awesome that animal crossing is such a huge comfort to you and your family! animal crossing has always been a big comfort of mine as well. out of the ones you’ve played, which animal crossing game would you say is your least favourite and why?

it’s also great to see some love for papi! i’m probably biased, but i can’t believe how underrated he is haha; he’s so cute! who are your current villagers in new horizons?
