I’m honestly quite happy about the update. I use design slots pretty often and now we get to edit even more items (and standees are back!).

I love we are getting more seasonal items in Nooks.

Sad to see Blanca and Katrina away I mean, I wonder if Katrina will play some role in the game besides just the app.

Overall, pretty good update considering we’re also getting Sanriio cards + we just had Mario update early March. Looking forward to April (if we’re getting something, that is).

I'm really excited for more slots and the ability to use the portal from anywhere. I love my path and border but combined they used up almost all of my slots. Now I'll have room for some details :>

Total info on the update for the 18th

1. Receive a 1 year anniversary cake in the mail
2. Upgrade design app at Nookstop to get 50 more design slots for regular custom designs and pro designs.
3. Pro designs now have option for wall, umbrella, fan and hand flag designing.
4. Bunny Day comes back on March 28th to April 4th with a shorter event length and fixed egg spawning. New items to purchase for it exclusively at Nook's Cranny
5. April Fool's Day Whoopie Cushion, Korean Singmogil Day Potted Tree, Earth Day World Atlas for purchase at Nookstop and Prom Season attire available at Able Sisters'
6. Nooklink gets a point system for rewards such as a Nook Inc Resident Services Poster and Katrina's Words of Wisdom as a app feature.
7. Starting on the 23rd to the rest of the year, there will be a site that will allow you to create a brochure and tour travel trailer to promote your island via animal crossing twitter.
8. Sanrio characters now compatible with ACNH.

No trailer yet, just assortments of text and pics.

Unknown if more to come via trailer reveal later this week or next week.

True, probably will have to wait and see if we get anything for the 2.0 update next month then.

My thoughts on each part:

1. The Cake: Knew it, knew they would just give us a cake for the anniversary.

2. Custom Design Update: Super sad about no Blanca but the added custom design slots were necessary. This is honestly the best part about the update and what makes this the most significant update this year.

3. Added Design Features: Wall designing is pretty interesting, the others are meh

4. Bunny Day Update: Glad they improved Bunny Day. I still dislike Zipper T. though...

5. Seasonal Items: The seasonal items are ok. I like the prom items. Not sure about the other ones.

6. Island Tour: Eh. I won't be using the Island Tour app. I think the Dream Address is enough really...

I do think it’s comforting to know that Nintendo is listening to their player base, as designs slots was something that people were being very vocal about it.

You need it to use the one in the able sisters as far as I'm aware so it's not a change or anything, just a continuation of how it currently works.

Either way you need Nintendo online to get designs from other players.

Okay here's my thoughts on this. Those Nook Points are interesting to check out I wonder how it work since its a nice change of pace from the Nook Miles. Really don't care about the new Bunny Day stuff because I still don't like that event. Island Tour seems interesting to promote your island which may encourage more people to use the Dream Suite more often.

Overall I am glad that Nintendo is listening to what fans are saying with more Custom Design slots I am really happy about that. Really hope in the future they will show off more new features and quality of life changes but so far I am liking what I am seeing right now.

I agree! I think that even the design app on your nook phone was a very good inclusion in terms of QoL. I think that may hint to other upcoming QoL updates as well.

Really happy about Nintendo listening, so I’m hoping they’re also listening about other major things.

I know!!! Awesome. I just recently got into the game and I'm loving it and all of these updates, had it in time for Mario, how cool is that? My friends and I play everyday, it's a blast. Can't wait for the updates, I really can't.
