Newbie to to forum, need a bit of help.

Hi, I'm new to the forums. I joined about two weeks ago but recently started being an active user. I have a few questions.

Is there any way to get notifications when a flagged thread has a new post?

and

How can I lock and edit my thread title?

Hey~

You can subscribe to threads by going to "Thread Tools > Subscribe to this thread..." and that will be located at the very top of all threads.

Also you can edit your thread title by going to "Edit Post" (that's located on the bar below your signature) on the main post of the thread. You can't close your threads but you can request that a moderator close it by hitting the small triangle with the exclamation sign on the very left of the bar below your signature.
